Arrival Story:
While on a trip at the end of October to some of the shelters in KY that our rescue works with, his foster mom met Dakota and just fell in love with his sweet nature and good looks. He had been at the shelter since the end of September and since this shelter must euthanize dogs for space, his time was almost up. So Dakota made the trip north to NJ on 11/8/08 and is in foster care to de-stress from the shelter environment and awaits his forever home. UPDATE 11/22/08: Dakota has been adopted! Not only does he now have a wonderful home and a fantastic human family, he also has a doggy brother of his own - none other than our former foster George!!:)

Bio:
Dakota is SUPER sweet and once he trusts someone, which doesn't take too long at all, he's a power snuggler and wants to be with his people. He's also very smart and knows Sit, Down, Come, Shake and even Dance. He does get startled by loud or new, sudden noises but he is quickly learning that he no longer needs to be afraid.
