Arrival Story:
We had been wanting a dachshund, so we decided to go and check out the animal shelter to see if there was one there we could rescue. As we were leaving, one of the volunteers asked us if there was a certain type of dog we were looking for and we told her we were looking for a dachshund. She told us about one that was in isolation. The dachshund had been brought in by her owner because she was sick and the owner couldn't afford medical bills. When we saw her she could barely walk, but she made it to us and looked up at us with those cute little eyes. We told the volunteer we wanted her. She told us to call back in a few days to see if she survived the weekend. Well she did and we brought her home!
