He was a Hurricane Ike rescue, found in Galveston TX, not far from where we live. His mother was let out before the storm occured, and she left Sparky and his brother under a porch at 3 days old.Apparantly the owners left her and the mom ran off and never was found. After the storm passed, the people from Operation Kindness came searching and and found him and his brother and took them both to the Operation Kindness shelter. It is definitely a happy shelter, very bright and warm, but unfortunately, most shelters are not that way. :(
Operation Kindness had so many surrenders after Hurricane Ike, that some were ready to have to be tranferred to different shelters (some were kill shelters). Sparky was on that list. The day I picked him up, he was in a cramped cage with his brother. I took him out to play, and he reminded me of Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation, so bold and hilarious. So I decided he was the one. We named him "Sparky", the name Chevy Chase was nicknamed in the movie. We brought Sparky home 2 days later, and he is my everything. Bio: I saved this boys life....and yet he has saved mine when I have had hard times. I decided to have "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback to be my main song on my page. It's a very moving song, and it really can relate to when dogs are in shelters, or when a lucky dog (like me), was adopted from a shelter. My mom wasn't even looking for a mixed breed or anything. She wanted a purebred. But she saw my eyes and I saw hers, and it was true love! :-)

Anyways, I have little chickadees as my background! I hope everyone is doing well and everyone has an awesome Easter, and dogs, get some chocolateee! :P
First I had one dog. Then I proved responsibility for 2. Then 3 dogs. Then 4 dogs. It took me a year to beg my parents for another one. Finally my step dad agreed to it, and it took me a long time to find the perfect dog. I went to some pet stores (which I know are NOT good at all to buy dogs, but I was just looking) and I went online to breeders and rescues and none of them REALLY caught my eye. I went to the shelter where I volunteer, and found you as a little 8 week old puppy. You couldn't be tooken to a new home without getting neutered first, (which took two days) but I somehow managed to wait. ;) I read your story online and you had a rough start to life. I wanted to give you another start! :)
Now your just soo clumsy and happy with your life, and you make me laugh ALL the time!
