Arrival Story: Sparky was at the largest no kill shelter in Dallas, called Operation Kindness. He was a Hurricane Ike survivor, found in Galveston TX, not far from where we live. I got the full information this time. His mother was let out before the storm occured, and she left Sparky and his brother under a porch at 3 days old. No one knows if the mother was loved or not. She was a beautiful purebred black labrador. Not sure what happened to the father. After the storm passed, the people from Operation Kindness came and took him and his brother to the Operation Kindness shelter. It is definitely a happy shelter, very bright and warm, but unfortunately, some shelters are not that way. :(
Anyway, the day we picked him up, he was in a cramped cage with his brother. Operation Kindness had so many surrenders after Hurricane Ike. I took him out to play, and he reminded me of Chevy chase in Christmas Vacation, so bold and hilarious. So I decided he was the one. We named him "Sparky", the name Chevy Chase was nicknamed in the movie. We brought Sparky home 2 days later, and he will be mine forever.
Bio: He makes me smile, so that's a very nice talent he has. He is hilarious too, get into everything and everyone. He is a love bug for sure. When he sleeps on my bed, i know everything is fine, as he protects me. He barks and growls everytime someone comes to the door when it night time. He is my little protector. I know when I look him in the eyes, and he looks me in the eyes, it's true puppy love.

The Last Forum I Posted In: New Moon
Momma always has a huge smile on her face. Why? Because she is constantly thinking about me and my antics. I give her the puppy eye look when I look her straight in the eyes. It's true puppy love. I am truly unique, because right after I chew something up or destroy or eat something, I run into momma's room and pretend like I am asleep on her bed. It's works every time!! :)
Whenever I want to play fetch, and momma is on Dogster or something, I grab my tennis ball, and I put my paw on her lap and I rest my head on her. Then I whine and beg for her to take me outside. I am a lovable sweet buddy boy, but momma sometimes gets mad at me for biting her. It isn't puppy biting, but oh well, momma will always love me, and my unique cuteness!!
