Receiving LOVE and attention! Also, she likes playing fetch with her mini (mint flavored) tennis balls, going on walks, and playing with her fur brother and sisters.
Lilly has "Stranger Danger" (Lilly is afraid of people she does not know)! She is also very shy around men (except her GrandPaw)!
Mini tennis balls (preferably mint or peanut butter flavored), as she loves to play fetch!
Anything soft. She also loves greenies, cheese, and grilled salmon.
Anywhere- Lilly would walk to the moon. She enjoys getting out so much! She rides in her pink stroller a lot also, since her legs are so short and she has a hard time keeping up with her fur brother and sisters.
Fetching and putting the ball right in your hand to throw. If you do not respond fast enough, she drops the ball on your foot and "talks" to you about it.
Lilly is our beautiful red dapple longhair Dachshund. She was originally one of my dogs (I rescued her in Texas), but Grandma and Grandpaw decided that they must take all of my Dachshunds to live with them! Once Mom and Dad saw that I had another Doxie, that was it! They "talked me into" Lilly living with them. Mom and Dad have always adored Dachshunds. They had two Doxie brothers, named Fritz and Blitz, for years. Fritz (the Dachshund) lived to be 19 years old and he is the dog that I named my Fritize after! Blitz lived to be about 12. When they died, it was way too difficult for Mom and Dad to get another dog, so they found it easier to simply take my Dolly and then my Lilly! I understand though and know that Dolly and Lilly have the best life. Who could not love and adore Lilly? She’s a little sweetheart and so cute- she's irresistible!
Lilly adores having a lake and tons of acres of grass and trees to run around and enjoy, all to herself and her sister, Dolly, at my Mom and Dad’s house. She especially loves her “around the lake” walks and will pester Dad until he gets up and gets going on their walk!
Lilly is a shy, timid girl. When she came to live with me she was already frightened of men, which stemmed from the sheer mess of a life where she came from. Lilly did not have a good life prior to me adopting her in Texas. However, after I brought her home, she was completely happy and content with her new spoiled lifestyle.
Lilly enjoys for me to dress her in festive, fun costumes and hats and take photos. She's a very tolerant dog, patient and kind- just the sweetest little soul. Lilly also thinks the world of my Mom and thinks her job is to be Mom's personal bodyguard. She gets along very well with other doggies and enjoys her close relationship with Dolly.
I love to shower Lilly with kisses and sweet-talk. Lilly just eats it up and let's me love on her all I want. She is also very good about letting me wash and groom her, putting up with the whole process very well and exhibiting patience. I just love my little Lilly girl and I know that she brings so much joy to my Mom and Dad.
My husband calls Lilly a funny name! When he first met her and saw just how very furry she is, along with her red/brown/black coloring he immediately started calling her Lilly-Sasquatch! He thinks that she looks like a Mini-Sasquatch! Well, she does look like one a little bit but in a funny, adorable way!
We love you, sweetheart Lilly (A/K/A Lilly-Sasquatch)
