Jerky treats, peanut butter, Buddy Bit treats, Greenies, spaghetti, dog cookies and biscuits
Favorite Walk:
Dixie Belle LOVES to walk anywhere, but especially loves to stroll in her pink stroller!
Best Tricks:
Dixie Belle rings a tiny bell at the door when she has to "potty" (she is so smart that she learned this in one day, when she was a pup). Dancing on her hind legs, twirling in circles, catching treats, mimicing my singing, watching and reacting to the TV.
Arrival Story:
Dixie Belle is a Maltese. She was rescued (as a pup). She is the SUPREME QUEEN and rules the house with an “iron paw” (lol)!
She is gorgeous and she KNOWS IT! She is so smart that she rings a tiny bell by the back door when she has to potty (hence her middle name of Belle). If you don’t run to let her out quick enough, she slaps that bell really hard, as if to say, “I SAID I HAVE TO GO OUT, NOW GET OVER HERE!” She will knock it clear off its little nail if you don’t run over when she demands! She also bosses her other siblings (Lilly, Fritz & little Daisy) and pretty much anyone else, human or otherwise!
One of the BEST things about Dixie (in my feminine opinion) is that she likes for me dress her up, all ribbons & bows! She LOVES to wear dresses, sweaters, coats, bows, glamorous necklaces, collars and tiaras! I will say to her, “Dixie, let’s pick out an outfit” and she will run to her closet (OK, yes, I will admit that she has her own closet), and dance on her hind legs- out of sheer excitement to get dressed up! I even caught her admiring herself in the floor-length mirror (she was wearing one of her particularly fancy pink party dresses)! Thank goodness she enjoys canine fashion and dressing up like a diva doggie goddess. She's my little girly girl!
In spite of her bossiness and diva lifestyle, she is truly the most loving and intelligent little doll & we simply adore her.
