Likes:
Snuggling with me, of course! Food ranks VERY highly also. He LOVES to sleep in my bed, under the covers, with his head on the pillow (check out his photo below and you'll see what I'm talking about)!

Pet-Peeves:
Grooming (but he puts up with it and behaves very sweetly)

Favorite Toy:
Rope toy (game of "tug of war"), He knows how to give a "hand shake" with his paw!

Favorite Food:
ANYTHING, but he especially loves a little taste of everything I eat! Also, he LOVES spaghetti, Greenies, and cheese.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere there is nice grass and lots of trees and stuff to lift his leg on!

Best Tricks:
Dancing on his hind legs, "talking/singing" giving a paw "hand shake" when you ask him to shake.

Arrival Story:
Fritz is my beautiful blonde Cockapoo (part poodle and part cocker spaniel). He was rescued and adopted by me from the local kill-pound many years ago (he's now approximately 18 years old). He was a sickly stray dog and I (with the help of a local vet) nursed him back to health and happiness. He was approximately three years old when I adopted him, but no ones knows his true age since he was a stray when he came to the kill-pound. No one would ever guess that Fritz is now about 18 years old! He looks more like a young, blond pup and has a very sweet disposition. Fritz has long, adorable blonde ears that reach down to his shoulders. He's so beautiful that some people mistake him for being a much younger girl dog! Lately he has showed definite signs of his elder age, but I think he's determined to live well to the end and I'm just not ready to let him go. When I think of Fritz, I have so many great memories and think fondly of how loyal he has been to me since the day I rescued him. I also think of the funny fried catfish story! Before Fritzie lost his eyesight, he was an excellent catcher! One time, a whole piece of fried catfish filet fell from my plate. Instead of hitting the floor, it was caught in Fritz's mouth! In fact, he caught it kind of sideways and half of the fish was sticking out of one side of his mouth. Needless to say, he was so excited about catching such a delicious treat, that he ate it sort of sideways and in just a few chomps. I wish I had my camera at the time, as it was such a funny scene! He looked like some kind of little furry pelican eating the fish sideways and in only a couple of quick bites! From now on, we always joke about how Fritz dreams of catfish falling from the sky! Fritz is proof that some of the very best and most loving dogs are rescued from sure death in a "shelter" and have no true pedigree. He's my sweet little fur angel and has shown his appreciation for being rescued by me about a billion times. It's a wonderful feeling to know that you've rescued a dear little dog and believe me; they never forgot that you saved them! Fritz Loves... FOOD, FOOD and FOOD. Did I mention food? Fritz adores just about ANY kind of food and is one of those dogs that definitely lives to eat! He also enjoys snuggling with me, however, I have to admit that over the years he has developed a dear fondness for his Grandpaw, as Grandpaw provides added spoiling and pampering, not to mention that he doles out tons of extra table treats. Grandpaw has a heart of gold and the dogs know it! Fritz has been a very loyal, loving pup and has always been by my side. He has moved and traveled with me a whole lot over the years and will always be my heart. I'll be with him forever in Heaven someday, as my cherished Fritzie passed away on July 16, 2010 and I'll never be the same... May you rest in peace, my dear Fur Angel, Fritzie. We love you forever, beloved Mr. Fritz Hugs & Kisses, XXOO
