Birthday: November 4th 2002 Arrival Story: Herbie: Came from a situation that Shelters and Rescues are all so often used to. A person who thinks they are being kind but ends up with a collection of animals they are unable to truly care for. Herbie was one of the lucky ones, who although he was scared he could be approached and he was deemed adoptable, but came with health issues. His eyes have been neglected and his fur was caked with fleas.
He has recovered from eye surgery, also he had to have some teeth extracted. He will require eye meds daily in his remaming eye. Herbie says his friends the fleas have left him for good, he does not miss them!!! Herbie is now in his foster home, where he has his Mom running in circles...Herbie loves his treats and could easily be named Herbie the Treat Hound!! He still is learning about house breaking habits. We have to give him a break, at 6 years plus no-one took the time to tell him we do not pee in the house. Herbie is a love bug...He looks forward to his walks, he will do great in a home where exercise is part of the daily routine. I've Been On Dogster Since:
