Holy schmoly!

I can't believe it's been almost a year since mom wrote a diary entry for me. I would have done it myself, but my lack of thumbs would have made it hard to read. Oh doggie whoas!

Today is my birthday, and I am hoping mom has yummie presents in store for me! Mama and Dad and me and my sister Clemmie are ALL Libra's...we should have a Libra celebration! Maybe a prime rib just for me! Mom doesn't even need to make me any mashed patooties! It's so cool cuz next month when it's Clemmie's birthday, I get to steal all her presents and eat all her treats! It's almost like having a birthday 2 months in a row! WOOOOHOOO!

A new sister!

Mom and dad went out last Saturday and when they came back, they had ANOTHER DOG with them. Hmmm! I met Clementine outside of the house...dad called it neutral ground, but I know even though it was outside, it was still MY ground. Anyway...she didn't smell too bad, but she sure makes a lot piggy noises. At first I thought she was mad at me, but I've gotten used to her sounds, and we play together all the time. I've even begun to snooze next to her. It's kinda nice having a sister!

I'm growin' like a weed....

..but I ain't gettin any taller! Momma says since I had my first birthday on the 26th of September, I'm not gonna grow anymore. That's funny cuz she keeps telling me that I am getting heavier and heavier. Now that I'm a big girl, dad decided to finally give in to mom, and let me sleep in THEIR bedroom last night, instead of in my crate in the family room. I think it was more because momma kept calling dad an ogre every night when she had to put me in my crate, and I'd look at her soooo sad and teary eyed. I'm so happy now because it's really lonely down there, even though the turtles are in the room with me. (I wish I could take them out of their tanks and play with them...they'd be such fun to toss around.) I was a good girl all night long because I want to be able to keep sleeping upstairs. Mom and dad both said I upset their routine. I hope they can take some medicine for that!

Almost August

Mama put up my pool today. I got to play in it for a long time! I can even put my face under the water to get my bone that dad keeps throwing in...then him and mom laugh and laugh when I get them all wet giving them my bone. Nothing I do makes them mad. I love them so.

I've learned to trick them. Hee hee! Now I ring my bell by the door just to go out and play in my pool. (Shhhh...don't tell them!) I rang it just now and dad let me out. He's so silly. I jumped in my pool and played some, then I came back in the house. Fooled them! Nobody noticed til I jumped on big brother and he told mom that my paws were cold. Mama looked down at the kitchen floor and uh-oh!...I had left my wet paw prints EVERYWHERE.

She STILL didn't get mad. That mom...she took a paper towel and wiped the floor all nice and clean...and I helped her by grabbing it as much as I could while she wiped it. I'm such a good girl.

Summer!

Well, Summer is here, and I have gone on my first RV trip. The whole family went whale watching. That was fun...except, I don't like to poop anywhere but at home in our backyard. I tried to hold it for 2 days, but MAN, I thought my head was gonna pop!

Then we went to Hope Valley for 4 days and I went swimming for the first time ever! WHOOOO that water was COLD! I don't like those little buzzy things mom called skeeters. They kept trying to eat me, so mom cut up one of her own sweatshirts and hand sewed me a little shirt to protect me from those nasty skeeters. Boy, I sure love my momma!!
