My mom is writing this last entry to my journal. It's taken some time for her to write this and reflect.
Kasey was suddenly taken from his family and sister Maggie in March 2005 after suffering from a sudden heart attack. We had gotten him from a rescue group and only had him 9 months. We miss him so very much, but know that he is not suffering and able to now run free.
He would be happy to know that Maggie now has a new brother, Diesel who joined the family in April 2005. MOre to come on that guy..........!

Hi,
Kasey here. Well, I'll bring ya up to date with my life so far. My humans got me from a wonderful rescue group in Pa. in June. I was so scared and would barely look up at them. I even thought at times they might hit me. But boy was I in for a great surprise. They brought me home to Vermont, and wow, I never saw so many toys. And they even gave me treats - even when I didn't want them. Things got so great that I started leaving food all around the house, and would let it lay until I felt like eating it, that is when I wasn't playing with it. Sleeping with my Dad and Mom - now that's the greatest. That is, until I took too much room and I was the only one in the bed. ( a king size bed at that). But hey, there was another bed in another room, so I made it mine! I love taking walks with my Dad, and playing with my toys. When Mom comes home from work, I love the attention. And she better not show it towards Dad - cause I get a bit jealous. Other than that, life is very peaceful and relaxing. That is, until my new sister arrived. They kept telling me I was getting a new sister- and I thought, "what's a sister?" They picked Maggie up from the same rescue group in Pa. in September. Boy has life changed. I didn't want to share my Dad and Mom, my house, my toys - well pretty much everything. They said I was a little jealous, and the next thing I know we are all making a visit to Doggy Behavior School. Geesh! So I was a little aggressive with her, a little dominating, I might have even growled a few times- I guess that's why she had a few accidents. (Ya know what I mean?) I only meant to scare her a FEW times. But then, my Dad and Mom went on a vacation and left me with the wild woman in a kennel. I mean, this woman won't quit! Accidents in the crate, eating my food,............but all in all, when our humans got back and saved us from that place, Maggie kind of grew on me. You know, I mean I actually liked her. She was great fun to play with, sleep with, take turns eating each other's food (and no growling either). I think our Dad and MOm liked it, cause they said we were good puppies. So that pretty well brings me up to today. LIfe is Great! Kasey
