Likes:
Sun bathing, getting a rubdown, his bath & blowdry, a new "treat" ~old doggie medicine. Napping on Mom's lap, or snuggled in the poodles big beds.

Pet-Peeves:
His big Standard poodle brother Julian. Boy! did he ever ruin a good thing! And on top of that they brought in another one!! And because he was "rescued" he is getting way to much attention!

Favorite Toy:
All things soft and squeekie! A "fluffy" snowball right in the kisser Wow! Fun

Favorite Food:
The first 11 yrs Iams. Now that we've done some research he is eating Innova. He loves carrots.

Favorite Walk:
When we lived in Mich. we used to play along Lake Michigan. Going anywhere with Mom. When Dad puts me inside his coat when its cold outside. People go ahh, and tell me how cute I am.

Best Tricks:
Sydney gives The Cutest Wave. He can trick the poodles out of a toy. He will pick a toy that he doesn't really want wave it in front of the greedy boys and when they snatch his toy... he takes the toy he wanted in the first place. Fun to watch.

Arrival Story:
Silkys are great little dogs. Full of life. The old guy is 12 and still full of spunk. He gets his way over the much larger boys. And they are sweet about giving him the good spots to rest. His personality profile would read a bit different a few years back. This Silky is still pretty active. But we have to admit that we are glad that after all these years he has mellowed.

Bio:
Sydney comes from the Cantell breeding lines. His breeder is wonderful . Sydney is what a Silky truly looks and acts like. He is smart and funny, he knows he's handsome. He thinks he is a very big dog. And is still at 12 years old full of life. Yeah for Sydney!

What is a little guy to do?

Sydney's tummy

Alas I'd like to say that the wee one's stomach is doing fine, but it's not so good. He throws up on average once a week, and seems to have a bit of distress if he is over fed or if his stomach is empty. Trying to get him to eat three small meals a day would seem like an easy task. Don't forget he is a Terrier at heart.

Monday Sydney had his surgery.

It's been a long week for the little guy, he gave us quit the scare.
The good news today is that he is home!
He did throw up this afternoon but hopefully it's not going to be a repeat occurance. He's only supposed to eat about a Tablespoon of food every few hours. For the most part he is really interested in just curling up in Mom's lap. To bad for me I have to just hang out here with him :)
I'm feeling better about his progress. But it sure would be nice to have no vomiting.
Thank you kind pups for looking in on Syd.
And the lovely Rosettes.

Surgery on Monday.

We are a bit scared here. Sydney has to have a needle shaped object removed from his stomach. We think he will do just fine, but he isn't the spring pup he once was. So we worry a bit but trust that God is looking out for the little guy.
Send him your best wishes; if you will, for a speedy recovery. It will make us all feel better.
