Arrival Story:
We owned Wail Li's daddy, Aaba, before my girlfriend and I got Wail Li in August 2004. Joy and David Randel took care of Wail Li from when he was a puppy. In 2000, Aaba bred with Wail Li's mother, Jamila, and Wail Li and his three sisters were born.

Bio:
Wail Li passed away May 12, 2008 due to an adenocarcinoma. He likely had the cancer growing in his abdomen for nearly a year and it was likely painful, but Wail Li never showed any signs or cried out in pain when we touched his belly. He was a wonderful boy, living up to his name, and we miss him very much. Wail Li means "wonderful" in arabic. Wail Li always snorted when he got excited or when we chased him around the house. He liked to pull clothes out of the clothes hamper when we weren't home, so sometimes we found our clothes in odd places around the house. Wail Li enjoyed playing with a toy bone that made squeeky noises, which is sort of unusual for a saluki. Wail Li loved to go for rides in the car, but when he was actually in the car he got very nervous, whining and drooling, but we took him out in the car anyway because we know he loved it because he always got very excited before we would go. Wail Li was entered into one dog show. He took first prize for his breed, but only because he was the only saluki there. He wasn't very obedient (although he was very obedient when there were treats involved), but he was a very happy boy and he always made his humans laugh and smile.
