Arrival Story:
In January of 2001, my mom told me to look on the SPCA website for any good dogs up for adoption in our area, I saw Jake on the site and immediately fell in love with him. We eventually forgot about getting another dog, so Jake wasn't ours...yet. Then in October of 2001 we were going into Petco, and we saw a bunch of dogs up for adoption, one of which wouldnt stop barking and everyone was ignoring, I ran over and saw it was Jake, I chose between him and a toy poodle, we took him home and hes been with us ever since.

Bio:
Hes been through 4 owners, us being his 4th. He was never given up for being bad or anything, just because his owners couldnt keep him anymore. He was bought as a puppy by a man and his wife and was with them for about a year, then they got a divorce. The man loved him so much, and he couldnt give him up, so he and Jake lived in his pickup. Finally the mans ex wife came and took Jake home, but then she couldnt keep him so she gave him to the YSPCA. He was there for about a month and was then adopted by a women who trained him to be a childrens therapy dog. Then her mother got sick, so she had to take him back to the SPCA. He was then there for about 7 months and we adopted him. Hes been here for close to 3 years.
