Arrival Story:
I was locked up in a shelter, when a young boy, oh about14, walked by my kennel. With lots of practise I mustered my most pitiful look and starred with sad eyes at the teenager. He turned to a woman, which was in his company and said" this one, Mom." The woman looked at me , I tried my sad eyes on her also, but she was immune to them"I dunno, Colin, he looks ugly." Heck, what did my ears had to listen to, not only was I looked up, but now this hag called me ugly?"Please, Mom." Colin begged, yeah, I had remembered the boy's name. "If you want him, it is him." The hag said. and with that they looked for someone to get me out of the kennel. Yippieh, I was being adopted. I will do my very best to make them happy, I swore myself. At the desk in the front the shelter person asked for my name. Colin started with Blacky, Shadow and so on. But the woman, which I probalbly should call Mom, said "No that doesn't fit to him." she pulled a banklnote from her wallet to pay for my shots and food while I had been at the shelter. She looked at the money and asked"How about Benjamin?"and showed Colin the banknote, a hundre Dollar bill with the picture of Benjamin Franklin on it. This is how I got my name. And my home, where much more pets live besides me.

Bio:
I was barely a year old, when Mom, which turned out not to be bad after all, went with me to a park, where all sorts of dogs were. We all had to follow certain commands and some people with canes, umbrellas, wheel chairs and other equipment, tried to scare us. Some of the other dogs started to snarl or yiep, one even tried to bite. Not me though, I hod behnd Mom's leg, though the umbrella thing was very scary. After the whole thing Mom and Dad petted me and said that I was a good boy and they congratulated me, saying I will be a Therpy dog, what ever that is. SHortly after that Mom and I went to school, I learned to jump on beds in a hospital and on chairs, and the scary people from the park, petted me and gave me treats. Boy that was fun. Just one command I hated to obey. Stay. I rather crawled after Mom on my tummy, which made all the other people around us laugh. Then I graduated and Mom and me went for years to hospitals and nursing homes, until I started to became very afraid of bigger dogs, and I snarled at them. Mom said"well, I guess we retire, Benj." So we did. Now I give Dad, Mom, Grandpa and Grandma therapy, all the time.
