Arrival Story:
We recently lost both of our dogs within 3 weeks- Brutus to Bone Cancer and Bella to organ failure :(. Our house felt incredibly empty so we took a ride down to the SFSPCA to look around. we spotted Russell in the last hallway and when I saw his face my heart skipped, he looked so much like Brutus, one of the shelter volunteers happened to be in the same hall and asked us if we would like to meet him so we filled out a application and went in to meet Rus. What a great dog! Reed could not stop talking about Russell, he did not want to look at any other shelters he had his heart set on this dog. I felt like we had to at least see a few more so went to a few more shelters, and checked out a few local breed rescues. A week went by and I decided to go and visit Russell a second time, he of course won me over a little more and I was seriously thinking about adopting him but we had a appt with a rescue the following day and needed to explore our options. Saturday morning as I was sipping my coffee and watching the local news Russell is featured as an adoptable dog wearing a halloween costume, it was a sign ;-)
We went to meet the rescue people and we didn't get a great vibe from them so we left there and went straight to put in our application on Russell. We LOVE Russell, he is fabulous!

My girlfreind Sophia and I went on a tennis ball hunt at Oceana- they havent cot the grass in a loooong time, we found 13 tennis balls whooo! pretty good!

My parents discovered that I am quite smart and talented.
I have my own room in the house, but I have been such a good boy that Dad has been letting me just have the whole house when no one is home and my buddies Jinx and Karma get locked in a bedroom... I don't think thats fair, and plus I cant cuddle and kiss them if they are in there so when my family leaves I help them escape. thats right, I open doors- its not hard and that way Jinx and Karma can hang out with me and I wont be lonely. ;-)
