Arrival Story:
6 years after my Dobie/Lab mix, Shadow, passed away my husband and I decided we were ready for another large dog. We had my Pug, Mugzie, and thought it would be nice for her to have another K9 buddy as well. After checking out a few breeders and their litters we found our little bundle of joy (or trouble) and brought him home. Mugzie was excited to have a new friend and things have been interesting since then!

Bio:
Thor is a major ham for the camera....when he's not biting it or snapping at it. He loves lots of attention. He is also quite the character. He loves to torture Mugzie, stalk her, and just be a general PITA (kinda like a little brother to his older sister). He also ALWAYS has to have some kind of contact with me or my husband in the way of leaning on one of us, sitting on us, or just having a paw rest on someone's foot. Thor seems to handle trauma and change very well. In January 2005 he was bit by what we belive may have been a recluse spider on his right rear foot. The bite turned into a flesh eating wound and left a large hole in his foot, to the point where you could see muscle exposed. I can only imagine that this had to be extremely painful for him, however he still wanted to play, bounce around, and be the center of attention. It took 2 months for the wound to heal. A few months later we decided it was time to move to a new home. My last dog, Shadow, never handled change well. Anytime a minute change occurred she was upset for days. I worried about the same thing happening with Thor and Mugzie. But once again he came through like a champ. By day 2 both dogs were running through the new house as if they owned it. Nothing seems to phase him as long as my husband and I are around for him. Recently we took him in for his annual shots and health check, he now weighs in at 92 pounds!

Forums Motto:
If it fits in my mouth, it's edible.
