Arrival Story:
My mommy, gramma and sister came to pick me up while daddy was out of town. When they arrived at the house none of the other puppies caught their eye. Then the lady brought me out. I was the puppy that her husband was going to keep. Gramma & mommy fell in love with me instantly. After settling on a price, the lady brought my papers out and as mommy was looking through them she noticed that I was was related to their older Boxer, Bronx's Quest for Glory. This is how I got my name. The 'Quest for Glory' comes from my pedigree and Colonel is for my bubby who was in the US Army when I joined the family. Mommy and Daddy say that I was rescued from hell (my old home). My mommy and daddy love me VERY MUCH. I'm The Colonel, gotta love me.

Bio:
The fourth photo of The Colonel was due to him being allercgic to bee stings. Within 20 minutes his face swells up like a balloon. Poor baby...

My New Little Sister...Roxy

Well, here I am again. I promised that I'd tell you about my little sister, Roxy. She is a German Shepard (yeah for the homeland) and part wolf. Daddy picked her out of a neighbor dog's litter. She is VERY high strung (hyper-puppy). As daddy types this for me, she is attacking his arm. She destroys her (and my) toys. I have to wait till she either goes to bed or is outside to play with MY toys. Whenever I am getting some love she buts her long nose in the middle of MY time.

But, over all she is a good girl (when she sleeps). We play and sometimes she takes it too far and bites too hard. I do love her and I know that she loves me.

Bronxy, my buddy, my uncle

On 23JAN08 my best K-9 friend passed away. He was Bronx's Quest for Glory and he was my Uncle. It has taken me this long to finally be able to sit down and write about it. I miss him SOOooooo much it is almost pitiful. Sometimes daddy is in his dresser drawer and rattles Bronx's collar and I come running, for a moment thinking that Bronx is there. But, daddy lets me smell the collar and I remember the good times. Mommy and daddy have Bronx's ashes and an impression of his paw next to the fireplace where I can see him always.

So, if you think about it say a prayer for Bronxy (I do every night).

Thank you,

The Colonel
(for myself and the rest of my family)

PS. Sorry I don't write much. But, next time I will tell you about my new little sister, Roxy...until then.....

Now that daddy has been home for a week he has been working on a fence for the front yard. He finally finished today (after a LONG week). Now I can go out in the front yard and run around. It is much bigger than the back yard... :o) Mommy and daddy go out there with me and throw my squeeky ball and I ZOOOOOOM after it. I'm glad the fence is finally done.

There will be more pictures to follow...
