Its tough being a Big Puppy

Vet Visits and Walking

So, i've had some digestive problems and have been going to the vet too many times for my liking. I know it's for my own good, but that scale thing scares me, and i don't know why i have to get weighed every time, i mean i've gone 3 times in the past month so i dont think its neccessary every time!! Becca told them how much i weighed the last 2 visits so i didn't have to get on. Talk about life saver!! Enough about that scary thing, i love the vet and all the attention, but i'm always scared that they are going to touch my paw, but they haven't the last few times, but i still don't trust them. I got all my needles, and was so noisey as to what the vet was doing, i almost got poked in the nose with the needle! The next 2 visits were all about my digestive system and becca got quite worried, and i heard the vet mention stress collitis..whatever that is. All i know is that i got some pills in my food and then couldn't have my yummy kibble, but some cottage cheese and rice..not my favourite..but i'll eat it of course. I haven't been able to eat any of my treats or fruits and veggies, and Becca must have felt bad, because shes been spoiling me with lots and lots of walks. I use to pull her on walks, even on my haltie, but i thought i should do something for her, so i decided the other day all on my own to walk beside her most of the time. Becca was really excited and now i go on even more walks...i wish i realized how much better it was to not pull...and i still get to sniff all the grass i want to. I'm much better now, and i'm back to my regular food, so i get very excited at breakfast and supper time :) To all my doggie friends: ***walks will last longer if you DON"T pull!!!***

Another Paw Injury

So, i hurt my paw again running around in the snow. I tore my duclaw and there was a lot of blood. I wasn't scared but my becca was worried i think because of all the blood. Although i didn't like her putting the Quik Clot on, i'm so glad it stopped the bleeding. I don't like hurting myself, but i always get extra lovings when i'm not feeling well which is nice. Becca was worried i would catch my paw in the crate when i went to bed, so she slept on the couch with me. Can u say spoiled :) So, since the vet was closed that night, i went the next morning, and that wasn't fun. I had to be sedated because i don't let anyone but becca touch my paws now, after the staples in paw incident. Anyways, i feel asleep and woke up with this bandage on my paw, so i still don't really know what happened. My paw hurts, so i think thats why becca gives me this special stuff in my food, whatever it is, it makes me feel soo much better. I'm almost back to my normal self, and i can't wait to get this bandage off, it's cramping my style. I can't go play in the snow, as i can't get it wet, and the bag becca puts on it when i go out to pee doesn't keep out all the snow!!! Oh and i now weigh a whopping 80lbs..becca says it justs means theres more of me to love and i guess that the shelter was wrong when they said i'd only be a medium sized dog...good thing my becca likes me just the way i am..big and beautiful!!!! :D

The Vet Again

I went to the vet again this week because i have a little skin problem on my paw from all the bandages and tape and had ANOTHER irritation on my head! Hopefully this cream they gave me will fix me all up, so i can be good as new again. Although Becca doesn't like going to the vet every month, how rude, i like it ( except for the staples in paw visit) because i get some peanut butter in my kong ( to distract me i think), and of course i get compliments on how handsome i am. I think Becca was a little suprised that i have gained some more weight, as just a month ago i was 73lbs and now i am 76lbs and was only suppose to be 80lbs full grown. Guess i fooled them!..hmm should i tell them i have great dane in me or should i leave that as a suprise? :D
