Leave a bone for Smokey (1979-1993)

Quick Bio:

July 4th 1979

Eating everything in sight, singing to T.V. theme songs, burrowing into groundhog holes, long walks and sleeping on our bed!!

All rodents, being removed from our bed and the mailman.

Favorite Toy:
His Team Canada yellow hockey stick, Teddy Green, and May the Mouse.

Favorite Food:
EVERYTHING, all treats and chocolates under the Christmas tree (he nearly killed himself eating 3 boxes one night!).

Favorite Walk:
To the fields nearby with dozens of groundhog holes

Best Tricks:
A wonderful singer, howled beautifully to the Andy of Mayberry theme song.

Arrival Story:
I bought Smokey when he was 7-weeks old as a wedding gift for my wife. It was the best money either of us has ever spent -- he gave us 13 years of sheer joy and constant entertainment.

Smokey was beloved by everyone he came into contact with. While a little dickens at times, he made us all laugh with his charming personality. His courage was incredible, he bounced back from 3 cancer surgeries and never complained about his daily insulin injections. We are mini schnauzer addicts thanks to him and later added three more minis to our family, Sailor, Seaweed and Rocket.
