We had our second class today and it went well. The facility isn't air conditioned and it was in the 80's today. So, we were super warm and I thought "we aren't getting anything done today."
Well, Sunny was a trooper. She learned how to jump over the jumps. I tap the jump in front of her and allow her to bump into it. Then I say "Jump" and over she went! She thought it would just be easier to go under. But I convinced her going over was the way to go. Then we were to put the dogs in a sit and stay while the other dogs jumped over a series of jumps. We were to put our dogs as close to the jump as we thought they would be comfortable and would sit and stay. Nobody else even attempted going near the jumps while the other dogs jumped and acted as a distraction, but we did. Sunny sat and stayed and didn't budge!
Then out of the blue, when everyone else was working on down, I said the command and there she went! A complete down!
The teacher asked if I was noticing anything with her and if she was picking it up and I gave a definate "Yes!" One of the other instructors seemed to think Sunny was well enough behaved that she didn't need the classes but we are staying in them.
Oh and we are working on a "Watch me" which, I mean she can't really see me, but when I click my tongue she focuses on my face the best she can!
The next obstacle is getting her to roll to her side. That one is going to take a bit of time, but we'll get it!
