Arrival Story:
At 10 months old Camo was an unsocialized fear biter who's original owner couldn't keep him, she said he was aggressive on the leash & had nipped her son. (he was herding!) I thought he was the most beautiful dog I'd ever seen & I could see he was fearful. The first time I stupidly tried to pet him he snapped at me--I took him anyway, knowing we'd be friends:) It took me almost a month to fully gain his trust, I just waited for him to be ready& he just followed me everywhere till he felt comfortable. Now Camo always has one eye on me & I rarely get to test his recall:)) He is a great teacher & role model. He's wonderful with puppies & new dogs. He just LOVES the beach! The first time we took him I thought he was chasing the balls that people threw but he is merely "herding" the dogs who chase them:))) Camo has a truly magnificent coat but we do shave him down in the summer for comfort.

Bio:
Camo makes rescuing easier by teaching our routine & acceptable behavior to the new dogs--he also loves to "round up" any runaways:) He is my helper & watches over puppies or the kids like a hawk. He is brilliant & I can always count on him to help--he knows what to do before I tell him--sometimes before I even think of it. Camo has taught me so much about dogs. Thanks Cami:)

Yay, my teeth are sparkling white again!

The vet said I was a really good boy & my teeth weren't bad at all --they said my teeth were better than most dogs! Mom just feels guilty cause she doesn't brush them as often as she should! She's gonna try to do it more often. Mom says I look like a puppy with these bright white teeth! I just can't wait to eat lunch!!!!!!!!!!!

Mom says I need a dental! I hope they are nice to me & it doesn't hurt--I hope the worst part is not having breakfast that morning:(

We're supposed to tell 7 fun facts about ourselves in our diary & then tag up to 7 other furiends. Have fun!:)

I used to be afraid of people & was a really bad fear biter.

I love children & puppies & love to play with them.

I love to go swimming at the beach with my family-we have a blast!

I taught my mom a lot about dogs.

Whenever someone is sad I give them a kiss to cheer them up--it works!

Mom makes us all sit & stay for 10 minutes quietly while she fixes our food (even if she leaves the room!) --we are so good at this:)

I don't need a leash & can walk past cats, rabbits & turtles--I love the way mom says "good boy!"
