Arrival Story:
we never had a dog before; were fascinated with the great pyrenees breed . we went to club picnics,met the breed and many owners, then traveled to virginia to meet a breeder in the mountains of virginia (fancy gap). two years ago we got to know joy's parents, and this year they had their first litter. we were traveling to west virginia just at the time she was ready for a home, so i knew it was fate. she is gorgeous, smart, stubborn and the love of my life. the great pyrenees is a fascinating breed.

Bio:
florida is not the ideal climate for her, but our house has tile, we have lots of shade in the yard and she drinks lots of water. she has finally admitted she loves to get a bath.

it's september 2009 now, and joy is a gorgeous 105 pounds! will post recent photos as soon as i can. she has a mind of her own, but i can take her anywhere, and she is very serious about her 'guarding' jobs. not a casual dog to own, lots of work, but so worth it!
