Arrival Story:
Went to a local animal control pound. Walked past her cage and that was it. Love at first sight. She was skinny as hell, stinky but I could see she was a terrific dog. We bonded pretty much right away. She's my BABY, my little 4 legged lovebug. Love her more than just about anyone except my human child. She protects me in public and on wooded, deserted trails in parks all over the area. If I could have a human friend like her, I'd consider myself especially special, if that makes sense. Zev has lived her life in total service to the needs of her human family especially me, whom she clearly prefers to others, she's a true one person dog goddess, my baby girl. Zev is a beautiful, caring and loyal friend with a huge heart of gold. I'm the luckiest person in the world to have had her in my life!Zev lost her battle with a leaking heart valve on 12-09-2010 @ 12 noon. She died in my arms watching my face as I sobbed uncontrollably.

Bio:
Though she was dumped by her original family through no fault of hers. Supposedly, she was Found wandering in a Washington DC Maryland suburb, after neighbors called to report 2 Rotties wandering around, later after she went to dog jail, her owner showed up to look for her and her sister, then decided to let them stay at the shelter, saying he and his wife decided she didn't want the work anymore, and he'd have to pay a fine! But his loss has been my gain. Zev is a beautiful Rottweiler in all respects. Zev is 11 yrs old now and it's begun to show, she's a lot slower and her paws and shoulders are riddled with arthritis and she's taking large doses of fish oil and supplements sometimes a real pain killer. She still loves to chase squirrels and eat her meals like a champ, so while she does sleep a lot more [like me], I'd say she's handling her old age better than I am. I live in fear for her health and life, I don't know how to bear losing her one day. It'll break my heart and leave her pal Zeus heartbroken too. Zev lost her battle with a leaking heart valve on 12-09-2010 @ 12 noon. She died in my arms watching my face as I sobbed uncontrollably. She brought only joy to my life I hope I gave her the life she deserved, as my best friend forever.
