Bio:
My name is Binky, and no, I am not a Chihuahua! But I am about the same size, easy to groom, and every bit as cute and cuddly. If you give me a chance, I promise to steal your heart! Binky is a Miniature Pinscher, about 3- 4 years old, and although he was a little timid at first, he is doing well in his foster home (you would be timid too, if you had been shuffled around like he has). Binky came from a local shelter. He had been adopted by an older couple who returned him because he was too hyper. He certainly does have energy, but he isn't hyper, no more than most small dogs. Binky loves to go for walks, chase tennis balls, and play tag with the other dogs in his foster home. When no one else wants to play, he amuses himself by trying to catch his own shadow. But his favorite thing of all is to settle down on your lap or curl up in a tight little ball on your pillow. Binky is missing a few patches of hair on his back we are not sure how it happened or if they will grow back, but he seems like a dog who has been through a lot. He definitely needs to go to a gentle, permanent home where he wont suffer any further physical or emotional trauma. He can be very submissive toward his family and he gets along well with the dogs his foster home. But he'll growl and bark when strangers approach him, and it may take him a few hours to a few days to get used to new surroundings. For that reason, he would do best in a home without young children. If you have other dogs, they should not be the aggressive, dominant type. Binky seems to be housebroken and follows a few commands like sit & stay. Binky is neutered, current on vaccinations and he is also micro chipped.
