I'm a Whopping Five Years Old Today

OMD...thanks to all my wonderful furiends fur thinking of me on my special day. I'm still the oldest in this house and am shining in the spotlight today. BOL!!!
Me and Scooter already got barkday gifts from our very dear furiends in Indiana. What a pawesome surprise when it arrived by the mail truck yesterday. We got a nice card, a stuff free toy, a talking loofa, some bison treats and four bully sticks. Of course we must give Jiffy and Rosie some of the treats, but it will be hard to keep their paws off our toys. We'll post a picfur later. Mom says we can have the bully sticks today. Whoo-hoo!!

Dog of the DAY!!!!

OMD! Life is so good fur me, Scooter and Jiffy these days cuz we moved out of the big city into a smaller community last Friday. We've got a HUGE big back yard that we run and play in. Mom's still unpacking boxes every day. Guess those boxes will soon be gone fur good and she can spend more time playing with us.

Now to top things off here I am DOG OF THE DAY!!! OMD! And mom was gone most of the day cleaning up the old homestead. She learned about my big honor from Lucy and Daisy's mom on Facebook. I'm so glad their mom told mine cuz this day probably would have passed and we never would have seen me in the spotlight. I'm so lucky to have such dear furiends too who sent me congratulations.

How do like me now Jiffy and Scooter!!?? I am the TOP DAWG in this house now cuz no other fur has got this awesome honor except Miracle back in '08.

Wow....I'm The Diary Pick of the Day Today

How do you like me now, Jiffy?! He got diary pick not long after being here on Dogster only a few short weeks. Now it's my turn and I'm honored to be the top pick today.

I have to bark about one of the things I'm always helping mom with. Maybe I don't actually help her, but I'm a big moral support while she makes cards for the Pet Postcard Project.
We try to make at least 25 cards a month to help feed homeless pets. Mom says it's therapy fur her and fur me it's lap time while I oversee all her cutting, pasting and putting the cards together. You could say I have the final looksee!! I've seen lots of my furiend's cards on their lately too and that just makes me bark louder!

There's something new going on right now. It's about a dog who was starved to death in Ohio. Nitro's Law needs to get passed. The lady who owns and runs the Pet Postcard Project is asking all doggies to help support the cause by sending in cards that she will send to Ohio. She's hoping it helps get Nitro's Law passed. All the information is on the website: www.thepetpostcardproject.com. I'm hoping all my furiends will view the video clip about Nitro's Law and make cards fur that cause.

Now I'm going to enjoy my day in the spotlight all day long!!

Tomorrow is My Dental Cleaning

OMD!! I have to get rested up real good tonight fur my early morning dental work. Mom said no water, no food, no nothing from now until after it's all over. I'm not looking forward to that, but Scooter gets to go with me cuz he's getting his annual checkup tomorrow! The only thing he'll come right back home with mom, but I have to stay fur most of the day. It will be the first time we'll all leave Jiffy home alone with dad. Oh boy, can't wait to hear how that goes. Jiffy will probably whine like a baby. Dad said he got upset last week when I went fur my checkup.

My Annual Check Up

I passed my annual exam with flying colors except fur one little thing. I need my teeth cleaned now that I'm a whopping four years old. Mom says we have to go on Tuesday. OMD!! I'm not looking forward to that and neither is mom. Dad said Jiffy cut up like crazy this morning when mom took off with only me. I think that little fellow loves me more than he lets on!
On a pawsitive note...all the vet techs and the vet himself said I was a pretty little girl. The vet, who has 3 Schnauzers, said I am the second smallest one he's ever seen. They have one client who's got a 5 lb. mini. Whoo-hoo...I'm bigger than another mini after all!!

Happy Yappy 4th Barkday to ME

It's my 4th barkday so I am getting all the attention today. Yay fur me. Mom gave us all a Texas Toothpick so I'm trying to get this entry made while chomping away on this big stick before Jiffy finishes his and tries to steal mine! Wuf these toothpicks.
A big shout out to all my wonderful furiends who sent me barkday wishes, rosettes and special presents. I'm feeling extra special today.

Yay ME!!

I ran a successful campaign as the Spokesdog fur the Pet Postcard Project. It was to help the Animal Rescue Foundation of Louisiana (ARF-LA) win free food during the month of December. Now ARF is waiting on its 2,000 pounds of Lucky Dog Cuisine food to be delivered to their doors! BOL!! That will help them out tremendously and allow them to use the other funds fur medical things such as spaying & neutering. Because a new little brofur came into my house in mid-December I haven't been able to bark as much as I'd like because he is a Dogster hog!! He's also keeping mom hopping behind him cuz he's always into something. Lately he is bringing in every leaf he finds outside! He don't eat 'em; just brings them in the house as if they was some kinda prey!

I Wuf My New Brofur, But.....

he is really starting to annoy me cuz he's demanding too much attention. I still get my lap time and lots of attention, but he just is in your face wanting it all the time. Good grief he needs to let up a little. I'm getting my share, but he just comes right in my face like Scooter and shoves me out of the way when mom's petting and holding me. I know he's just a baby and will probably outgrow all this super charged up energy, but how in the world does he go almost non-stop all day long!!?? Whew...I get tired just watching him and I also have to get out of his way cuz he's always trying to jump on me.

Anyhoo...I'm still working as a Spokesdog fur the Pet Postcard Project. We're gonna get that free food for ARF cuz lots of my very good furiends have been making cards and the ARFangels are pulling together to make sure they done enough too. What a wonderful day it's gonna be when we hear the big announcement that ARF has free food on the way.

I'll try not to complain about my new brofur cuz I really do wuf him lots and lots. He needed a home fur Christmas and I'm glad he's here, but I'm not gonna tell him that I wufs him...not yet.

It's Official

OMD it really is official. I's so excited I furgets to post in my diary when we heard the news on Monday night. Little Jiffy Pop is gonna be coming to live with us furever! Mom crazy woman fur sure cuz she already planning on shopping trip to buy hims lots of stuff. Time fur her to gets another trunk to stores all our stuffs in! It gonna be a good Christmastime this year with new furbro to play wiffs. He gonna enjoy his first Christmas with us...OMD...I's just realized he gonna enjoy his first Christmas ever cuz he just a baby; borned in May of this year! This is more exciting than evers.

Mom going to pick up little Jiffy this Saturday coming. She leaves me and Scooter with dad to make the trip with my skinbro all the way to Oklahoma, close to where my good pal Harley Davidson and his fursis Sophie Claire lives, but they's 2 hours from the place. Mom busier than ever planning the trip and talking bout nothing but Jiffy Pop!! But she ain't furgetting about finishing up some cards fur the Pet Postcard Project so we's can make sure the ARF-LA homeless doggies gets they free foods. I's proud to helps them doggies!

It's been cold here the past few nights so mom let me wear my sweater to go outsides so little ole me don't freeze. Today looks like the rains is coming. Hope it passes fast so I's can have my sunshine back.

BIG Announcement

It's true; Jiffy is coming to live with us furever. OMD! We's gonna have a little baby very soon. Mom is acting like dodo bird wanting to go get him now, but dad says weather is ugly in that neck of the woods...didn't know woods have necks, but anyhoo, he say mom & skinbro is crazies! Mom want Jiffy home fur Christmas. It really will be an extra special Christmas after all. Thank you Spike and your bestest furiend Ernie George fur sending little Jiffy to us. We knowed you guyes are up there watching over all of us.
