   Leave a bone for Lola

Nicknames:
Lolacarbona, lolita, little turkey, houdini, quick draw Mcgee (when I run off during fetch before the toy is thrown), and a couple of other one's that mommy promised not to write cuz they're kind of embarrassing

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
I like my mommy, nice dogs, nice people who will pet me and give me some love

Pet-Peeves:
When mommy drags me out of my warm spot in bed before leaving for work, cold weather and rain(brrr I get cold easily even in my sweater)

Favorite Toy:
My little yellow ducky with the rattle inside...my mommy has already had to sew it back together once and I recently ripped its eyes off, but it is still my most favorite toy

Favorite Food:
Royal Canine Mini Chihuahua 28, it is soo yummy and the kibble is really small so I can eat it easily, plus it makes my coat so shiny and soft and gives me tons of energy.

Best Tricks:
up, sit, shake, roll over, and fetch....I get really excited when my mommy plays fetch with me. She makes me sit before she will throw my duckie, sometimes I get so excited that I will stick out my tongue and make funny noises that sound like I am talkin

Bio:
woof! I have had a pretty tough first year, I started to have some pain in my right hind leg when I was 10 months old. My vet thought I had a partially torn ACL from a big dog stepping on me at daycare. She wanted to wait and see if it would get better on its own. Woof! it just kept getting worse, my mommy was so worried that she took me to see an orthopaedic surgeon. He felt my knee and then my hip which made me cry really hard, then I had to have x-rays because he thought the problem was my hip not my knee at all. When the x-rays came back he told my mommy I had Legg Calve Parthesis and would have to have very expensive surgery to fix my hip ASAP. My mommy was so sad that I was going to need surgery, but she wanted me to get better. So she sold her Ohio State football tickets and scheduled my surgery for the next week. I had to have part of my femur removed. My mommy was not allowed to stay with me for the surgery, so I was really scared without her. Everyone who worked at the hospital felt sorry for me cuz I was so teeny, they all took extra special care of me. Woof! I was so tired after the surgery, and they had to put metal staples to keep the incision in my hip closed which felt really weird. I was so happy when my mommy picked me up from the hospital the next day I was wagging my tail like crazy and wiggling all over. When the vet tech showed my mommy how to move my leg 3x a day for physical therapy I started to cry really load....that 's how I got the nickname "little turkey" The vet tech said "oh- you little turkey, you weren't crying until your mommy got here". I am doing much better now, and have almost completely recovered. My mommy is still paying off the portion of the surgery that she put on her credit card, but she kisses me everyday, and tells me it was well worth every cent she paid to fix me because she loves me so much, and she is just happy that I could be fixed. My mommy is great, she really takes good care of me, woof! Now rub my belly I love that!

Woof! My mommy has finally added some new photos of me, I hope you like them. It's winter time again so I have to wear my sweater all of the time now. I don't even want to go outside because it is so cold. Once a week I get to go to Noah's Bark and play with all of the other dogs. I have so much fun there. When my mommy drives my I start to get real excited when we are getting close and then I dance all around once we get there. Time to go play, woof! Where's my bear?

My mommy didn't have to go to work today. This made me very happy, cuz then I get to cuddle up on her lap and bury my nose in her sleeve. She told me that today is Thanksgiving day and that is why she could stay home with me. She explained that I should think about all of the things I am thankful for woof! I am thankful that I have a warm bed and a warm sweater, I am thankful for my yummy food and my special doggie treats (even if I have to roll over and shake to get them), I am thankful for my little duckie with the rattle inside that I ripped the eyes off of , I am thankful that my mommy will throw me my duckie for hours because I really like to play fetch, I am thankful that I make my mommy laugh, and most of all I am thankful for my mommy, without her I don't know what I would do. woof! I want a tummy rub! woof! Throw my duckie! woof!
