Arrival Story:
Bert was the only male dog in his litter and his soon to be new dad was home visiting for Thanksgiving and went to go look at him. He came out and walked across the kitchen floor to him. He was awfully cute, so his new dad could not resist and got him that instant. It was now time to get supplies for Bert and get him ready for a road trip back to Charleston. Bert was the cute macho guy that he is and weathered through all the ride and changes like a champ. He settled into charleston well with his new mom and dad. Then christmas came and there was talk between mom & dad about mom getting a puppy. What did this mean for him? Read below.......
Bio:
I had been with Dad & Mom for one month when mom brings home her Christmas present. It was Luna! I had to now share mom & dad's attention with this big baby. At first it was a little hard especially since I was 5 pounds and luna was 18 pounds and boy was she clumsy. Once I realized luna was a big goof ball, liked to cuddle, have fun and I could still be top dog I accepted her into the family. I must admit I love her now and get sad when we are part. She is my best friend.

Boy have we been in a heat wave recently. Mom & Dad keep talking about how they want it to rain and I do not understand why. It feels great and I have way more fur than them. I always am stuck in a crate all day with a big panting stinky Luna and I still love it. Every chance I get to go outside and sunbathe I do. Mom gets ticked at me b/c I will not come in and she is worried I will overheat. I do not see why she worries so much. It feels great out there lying in the sun. The hard part is remembering to flip so that I sunbathe evenly on both sides. I get frustrated because it seems like once I get a good rotation down mom is herding me in. I think she is to blame on why I am still so white. How am I supposed to get close to Luna's color if they never let me out long enough? I will tell you one another good thing about this heat wave.....ice cubes. I love ice cubes. They are so refreshing, cool and tasty. After being outside or even lying around the house nothing is greater than an ice cube. I think if mom & dad ate more of them they would cool off about letting me stay outside longer. Time to go I hear the freezer opening...ice cube time!
