My Easter was very fun and wonderful. I will remember that day for a while. I enjoyed myself a LOT!
The day starting out with a huge suprise. I spotted a few hidden Easter eggs and I realized that the Easter bunny must have came the night before. Bailey and me searched all around the house and we found tons of eggs. I was so excited that I was running back and fourth. When I found a little blue egg under the piano, I picked it up in my mouth and carried it to my mommy. She opened it up for me and let me see what was inside. There was some treat inside which made the game even more exciting! I ate them so fast and went to look for more. Bailey was really good at the game and she got a lot more then me in the end but she shared the treats so it was a fair game.
After that, my mommy got out the camera and took a million pictures on me in my suit posed next to the basket of eggs that I kept digging in to get more treats. That made some very good pictures! And then me and Bailey had to get pictures together. I got yelled at because I wouldn't stay still. I don't know how Bailey does it! Even the cat, Patches, stayed still for his picture! Ugh and then I had to wear some bunny ears for more pictures! They were driving me crazy!
After picture, I just chilled for a while and took a couple naps while my family cooked and cooked and cooked. Finally it was time to eat! We skipped lunch and went for an early dinner. I got lots of yummy scraps! I even got to sit at the table on a chair begging over peoples plates.
Soon when dinner was over and everyone was very full, we went on a walk. We went pretty far and I love to go on walks and lead the way. Bailey came, too! It was a fun way to end the day along with coming back home, playing soccer, and taking a long, loooong, nap!

Yessss, finally the white stuff has gone away! It just like melted into the ground right before my eyes! I was truely amazed! And now it is warm, with the sun, and heat! Well...not too much heat but I can tell sring is on its way! Now everytime my mommy lets me outside to have a potty break, I run all around. Yesterday I ran the whole way to the back yard by the pigs pen. My mommy chased me back to the house but I did everything I could to stay in the warmth and avoid her. Finally she got me, though, and carried me back to the house.
I like to stare out the window and wish I was out there running around in the yard. Bailey told me its not safe out there because there is a rode with cars going by every hour or less. But I already know that I am not aloud to go on the rode anyways. It actually kind of scares me because of the stories Bailey told me about the rode. Yet she is always on it. From inside I watch her stand in the middle of the rode and sniff the air and she crosses it all the time...back and forth...back and forth....when will I be able to do that?
Bailey told me it is a danger zone and you have to really smart and fast. I'm smart and fast! Well maybe not as fast as Bailey...I saw her raceing a car a few times and she always wins. But sometimes I worry about her because of the story she told me. She said before I was born she got ran over by a motercycle. But it wasn't a motercycle...it was even bigger. She said she got stuck under it and it sent her rolling down the rode. Soon she was rolling into the yard with a big cut on the back of her neck and her leg was broken.
She also told me about the time that she ran away for over a mouth. She said she was walking along the highway with car beeping at her. She told me it was the scariest thing ever.
I love Bailey and I look up to her a lot.

My holiday season was so wonderful this year! I had the most fun of the year.
In the coming days of Christmas I was left home a lot in my cage and waiting for my family to come back carrying lots of bags. It was a bummer having to wait a lot but before and after they would leave, my mommy would play with me and the soccor ball. That was tons of joy. My old toys were not so great at the time but I just enjoyed running and spending time with my mom.
Christmas eve: That was a bunch of fun. I waited around while my family was cooking and I got lots of scraps. I rested by the fire place and sat of many laps. I also tryed to get into my stocking because it smelled so good. I could not quite reach it but Bailey helped me by knocking it down. We both got in trouble but it was still a funny experience. That night my family ate srimp and bow ties (the srapes were so tasty) and they also had a ginger bread house. I was not allowed to have any but it was still cool to watch them take it apart and pop it in their mouths. When I went to bed, there were sugar pums dancing in my head and I was so excited for santa to come. I was runnig around on the bed and jumping up and down but then Bailey reminded me that santa won't come unless I am asleep. After she said that I passed out into a deep sleep.
Christmas day: Everyone woke up a litlle earlier than normal. I geuss they all wanted to see what Santa left. I ran out my bed room door to join everyone around the tree. There was something very different about the tree but I couldn't quite figure it out. Finally I realized that it was now surrounded by many presents that were not there the day before. Bailey was right! Santa came, he really did! I sat and watched the excitment filled the room and my mom, aunt and uncle started to bust open presents. I sat on my Grandma's lap to watch. My grandpa was taking lots of pictures. Then....finally the moment I was waiting for came. My mommy handed the stocking to Bailey and I. With the camera aimed at us we started to dig and rip and tear all the presents that were in the stocking. I found so many treats that I ate right there on the stop. I saved the chewy bones for later. I was so happy to have all eyes on me and my stocking. It was a good time exept when Bailey started being mean and fighting with me. She wanted to hog all the treats so shes stool them all and when I tried to take some back, she attacked me. She put me on the back and put both of her paws on me to hold be down. I started to cry but I realized that was dumb so then I began to growl. I knew it wouldn't scare her but it was the thought that counted. My human family broke us up and sent us into different rooms to enjoy our treats. A little while later they called us back in for more presents. Bailey gave me a dirty look but I ignored it. I unwraped a present that was all mine. I ripped the paper and threw the gift bag to the side.Inside I found two toy balls. One was a mini soccer ball and the other was a mini blue basket ball. I loved them so much and I started chasing them all through the house. I peeked over at my cosin Bailey and I saw that she also got two balls. Hers were a mini red basket ball and a mini baseball. She was handing them to family members to throw them for her. The two of us got so crazy that we ran threw everything and knocked down unopened presents. We got yelled at and my mommy handed us our next present. We each got a pretty big bag. Inside of mine was a toy raindeer, a soft toy frizbe, and a big bag of bacon-n-bits treats. Inside of Bailey's bag was: a toy raindeer with a bow, a pink ball, and a big bag of puperoni treats. I jumped up and down with excitmet and Bailey joined me. We started to play with our toys and we swiched some and shared with eachother. Finally it was time for the last present. My mommy had to help us open this one cuz it was wrapped pretty good. When I saw it, I wasn't sure what it was but soon I realized it was a food and water tray. My family put me and Bailey's food bowls and our big water contaner of the tray. It was really cool. I ate brakefast, lunch, and dinner all in the same hour on it.
We played with our toys and ate our treats all day long. My human famlit ate a big dinner with lots of scraps to share but no ham because they said it would make me sick. I spent lots of time with my family on the fun day as we celebrated the birth of baby Jesus long ago.
New Years eve: This holiday was just like a normal day until the end. In the end, I got to stay up way past my bedtime. It was really awesome because it was just like the day became longer. I had more time to play and eat and spend time with my family. Although I was tired near the end and I was falling asleep on my grandma, I still enjoyed chasing after the ball and scareing Meary away and doing tricks for treats. At mid-night we watched a big ball fall on the tv. I wished I could chase after it but I had trouble getting into the tv. Me and Bailey barked the new year arrived. It went from 2008 to 2009 in one second! 2008 was a great year and I will miss it but I am ready for a brand new start. This year should be just as fantastic as last year. I know it will be great because it already is so far.
New Years day, 2009: I woke up late for the long night before. Most of the day was just playing and eating. We kicked off the new year with family times and fun. For dinner the humans had mashed potatos (the little pieces that I got were yummy) and pork and sour crout. I listened to my Grandma say that this food was good luck for the year and I heard my grandpa say that the pork was good luck because pigs can not turn around and look back they can only look forward and move on to the new year. That reminded me of Wilber, our pig in the back yard in a pen. Wow, I didn't know he could not turn around. Well I am sure he will have a great new year since he can't look back to bad times in the past. Bark bark!!!!!!

This morning I woke up and I was let out the door. My eyes almost popped out of my head because all I saw was white! Everywhere. I may be color blind but I can tell when there is no color anywhere. I didn't see anything that was black etheir. Everything was white. The same thing happened last year and the year before. I guess there a time in the year when my eyes give up and all I see is white. But the weird thing is that when I am in the house I can see just fine.
I sniffed the air and the white stuff. Then I stepped off of the side walk and on to the groud where the white stuff layed. Oh yeah! I thought. I suddenly remembered the feeling of that stuff. I remember last year when I stepped on the white stuff and I was shocked. It was so cold!!! My little paws cracked through a thin layer of ice and down under it. It felt like I was standing in front of the big ice box thing in the house. It reminded me of when my family gets a piece of ice out of the ice box and aims for putting it in a cup of water but they drop it on mistake. Everytime they do that I like to run over to it and lick it and try to eat it but it's always way to cold for me.
As I walked through the white, cold, stuff I lifted up my paws and kept them in the air as long as I could so I could avoid toching it. I was jumping from paw to paw while Baily, who was also outside, was calmly taking a stroll around the house. She must have some strong paws, I was thinking, or at least shes really furry down there. After the two of us did our business, we went back in the house. Well, I kind of ran back in the house, but you get the picture.
I was almost sure that I was melting when I got back in the house. I was soak and dripping wet. I looked at my paws. They still had the white stuff on them. Then, right before my eyes, the white stuff on my paws turned clear and dripped on to the floor. Finally I understud! The white stuff was just a bunch of frozen water! Who knows how it got outside but at least I now know what it is. After thinking so hard I wanted to take a long nap. I layed down by the fire and drifted off but then I woke up quickly. I was having a sudden craving for running around in the white icy stuff. I ran to the door and started begging to go out!

The other day my mommy and grandma groomed me! I hate being groomed! It's so scarey! Plus, it was the first time I was grommed by my family in stead of a professional groomer. They had just bought the electric shavors and everthing else they needed. When I saw all the grooming supplys all laid out on the table, I began to get nervus. When it was time the first thing they did was the shaving part. Nope, they couldn't start out gentle, they just had to get to the hard part. The hair on my back appeared all over the place! I tried to run away away but they keep me in place. The shaving took hours and I think the worst part was when they shaved my legs and feet. I got a couple minor cuts, they didn't bleed but it still hurt. I started shaking after that. Finally the shaving was over and it was time to do some trimming. Since I'm a poodle I have to have a lot of grooming done, I hate it! They trimmed around my afro and my long ears and my mustash and beard. They were aweing over me and I wanted to run away and go play some soccor or somthing. Just when I thought it was all over, they got out some ear cleaning stuff and went on to clean my ears, it really just tickled. Then they got out the one and only: evil nail clippers! I have to say, they are the most terrible thing that was ever invented. My family thinks they are great and it's so great when my nails are short and it's so great for me to get to use them and why don't they just use them than? If they think that the clippers are so great then they can have them! Anyways, they clipped my nail and I hated it. The End of that little clipping session.
I felt better after being groomed but I didn't understand why I had to have my hair cut that way. I'm a boy, I should have messy hair! I need a hair cut that says: "I'm a boy not a lil' poodle girl and I don't care what I look like because I'm a wild dog! Not a puppy!" Yeah that would be nice, but this hair cut wasn't all that bad. It kept my afro and ears warm but when I went out side I could definitly feel that air on places I didn't want to it feel it on. I felt a lot cleaner though, but thats just because before I got shaved and everything, I had a bath. So all in all my day was..... gloomy groomy. Yuck! Well at least it's over now and I have a whole lot of days ahead of me to grow all that fur back! I just hope it grows slowly so I won't have to get groomed again anytime soon.
g2g take a nap! BarkBark ByeBye

Today I woke up and got out of bed and realized my bed was much warmer than the rest of the house. It has been so cold lately and reminded me of some hard times I had a couple years ago when I was in the animal hospital, dieing.
It all started on a cold fall day, I was just a pup who was teething and eating everything because I didn't know better. Woof, woof! Cool, I found a box of dental floss on the floor! Well, my teeth sure hurt so maybe I can floss my teeth, or at least crew on the box. I thought. I picked up the box with my teeth and started denting it and putting holes in it. Suddenly the lid popped off and a beautiful, long, white, string came out. I just couldn't help but lick it...It tasted so good. I took a bit of it, but it didn't break off. That was fine with me; I just kept swallowing it, over and over again. Once it was all gone, I began to chew on the box once again, and that’s when I was caught. My mommy found me, and said: "Hershey, bad boy!" I guess she did not realize that I ate all the floss because she didn't seem too mad. I watched her put the box on the sick where I could reach it. I felt kind of guilty but no body knew what I did so I just continued on with my day.
The next morning I woke up and I was freezing, and shaking. I didn't feel good at all. I threw up a few times in the sick. When I was let outside to do my business, something else happened, too. Everyone in my family could now see the dental floss sticking out my back side. There was no way it was coming out ether. I was then rushed to the vet by my worried family by my side. When we got there they took me away from my family to x-ray me, which was not fun at all. Then they called my family back into the room but I was too sick to rejoice that. I could hear the doctor saying something like this: "There is floss wrapped around his intestates and all through his body, I'm afraid to say that our only choice is to put him down" I was very confused and I wasn't sure what he was talking about, but all around me was sad faces and tears.
On the way home I took a nap and soon found myself at home in a play pen with blankets all around me. I saw those sad faces once again I was starting to get scared. The next day my family decided to take me to an animal hospital to see what they thought about my situation. It was a far drive but it went quite fast because I was sleeping. When we finally arrived I was sat down on a table to be examined without my family once again. I had no clue what was going on. The doctor had warm, gentle hands and soon he was rocking me in his arms and carrying me out to my family. He opened my mouth and let my family look inside. I really liked all the attention but I tummy hurt a lot. "In Hershey's mouth, you can see the other side of the floss." I could hear the doctor saying. The family looked amazed. "There are two options we can do with this little guy here, give him an operation, or put him down...the operation will coast a lot of money, though." My family had to think about it and discuss it a little but almost right away they decided to pay for the operation.
I don't remember much from these next couple days I am about to tell you about. The operation was very unclear but I do remember waiting around in a cage and watching the doctor check out some other dogs and cats. A few days past and it turned out that the operation did not work; I was feeling so sick, too. It was the end of my small life and time to say good bye to the world. The doctor called my family to come say good bye because it was time for me to go home to my creator in heaven. I wasn't ready to go yet but I was feeling horribly ill.
The night before my family came to see me one last time, the doctor wanted to try one more thing to keep me alive. It was a 50/50 chance that I would live or die. I can't remember that operation all, so the next thing that I can remember was being with my family the next day. I was running around and playing and jumping. I felt so great in all ways: I didn't feel sick anymore and I was with my family! Bark, bark! The only bad thing was that I had to where a big cone around my neck so that I wouldn't crew at my stitches. It was sure weighing me down. "Hershey, you’re going home!" I heard someone in the room say. The eyes grew wide and my ears went up, that last operation must have worked! I was so happy! My family went home and came back the next day to bring me home. I gave one last look at the doctor and the nurses, I really grew to know each one of them, and I knew I would miss them but the truth was, I hated it there! All the pain and sadness....I couldn't wait to leave. My family gave to doctor and his crew a big basket or chocolate Hershey kisses to thank them for saving my life and causing a miracle.
I soon healed completely and went back to being a puppy but trust me; I will never eat dental floss again, not ever!
Today as I remember that time of my life, I think about how grateful I am to those vets. I will never like hospitals or anything about them but at least I can remember that day when I got to go home and be where I am right now. It's a great feeling to know that I am healthy and ready to live a long life, dental free!
P.S. To all the vets in the world: Thank you! Woof!

Yesterday was such a fun day! I was running and jumping and smimming in the leaves. I almost forgot what leaves were because I hadn't seen them since last year! When I saw them I wasn't sure what they were and I was very confused. Suddenly a gient leave fell on my head! "it came from the sky" I thought. "No, wait, it came from that tree!" Thats when I had a flash back of last year when I was sitting quietly watching my mommy rake the leaves into a huge pile. This year, I was not sitting quietly!
It was pretty cold outside but I was wearing my orange halloween turtleneak sweater, so I felt just fine. I wandered around the whole big yard with my mommy right by my side. I checked out the creak, which was freezing cold but I walked around in it anyways until my mommy took me out because she said I was getting my sweater wet. Then, when she put me down, I ran sooo fast away from her because I wanted her to case me, and she did. I ran to the back yard, jumped in a pile of leaves, and then back to the front yard. Across the bridge, into the woods and then back in to the yard. Eventually we found ourselves playing soccer with the ball I found in the back yard by Wilbers pen. (Wilber is a pig, I'm kind of scared of him)
So...as you can tell, thing have been pretty good lately, exept the fact that my petsmart bandana got vacumed up and then spit out, and the fact of how I was forced to sit in a pile of leaves for like 5 minutes while my mommy took pictures of me. But besides that, I've just been chillin' out by the fire place and enjoying life as a cute little puppy. I can't wait to have some more fun with fall time again today!

Hello, I'm Hershey Bear! I'm 2 years old and I am a mini poodle made out of pure chocolate! Well at least my fur is. Today I woke up and realized how cold I was on this cilly October day. I ran outside, came back in, ate breakfast, ran around with my cousin Baliey(who is a 7 year old, lab mix), and then I was bored. I hung out for a while until I fell asleep. Next thing I knew, my human family was getting ready to leave me and get in the car. :( My mommy, Katie, gave me some food, water, and treats in my cage and told me to go in it. At first I didn't want to but the treats were way too much to pass up so I ran I the cage and enjoyed a yummy snack. Outside my cage, Baliy was eating, too. For a few hours all I did was sleep, eat, and watch my other cousins run back and forth. My other cousins are named Meri and Patches, they are cats. Patches wasn't that bad, Baliey only had to bark at him once for drinking out of her water. But Meri, on the other hand, even made me start barking. She jumped from chair to chair and knocked down stuff from the table. Finally when I started to get mad, I heard my human family come home and open the door! I jumped around in my cage because I couldn't contain my happiness. Katie open the cage door and I ran to each family member to give each one a big wet kiss! To get out my energy I ran around the whole house about 10 times. The rest of the day the filled with fun and play with my family which made me forget about the depressing time in the cage. Wow, what a day, I'm sure ready to take a loooong nap!
