Going to Dairy Queen, riding in a car, getting scratched and rubbed in that special place that makes my hind leg start going up and down like I'm starting a motor cycle and visits from my two "grandpa's".

That darn dog next door, Grizzly. Anyone that dares set foot on my kingdom that does not know my parents. And, that rubber chicken with the squeaky thing in it.
Favorite Toy:
Rope pull toys, Nylabones and black socks (no other color....just black).
Favorite Food:
King is an Iam's Mini Chunks connoisseur all the way. Throw in a piece of beef, chicken or anything that has ever lived in the ocean and I'm a really happy camper! Oh, I'm very fond of vanilla ice cream and the occasional piece of cake.
Favorite Walk:
From the back yard, through the doggie door, into the house, down the hall and jump up on the BIG, BIG bed!
Best Tricks:
Giving passionate kisses. My mom calles me Casanova when I do that. Shaking either paw, giving a high five, looking pitiful when I want a treat and making napping look like a professional occupation.
Arrival Story:
Hubby and I had only been married two months when he awoke one Sunday morning and suddently announced "we need a dog!" I asked him why and his response was "to make our family complete". Since he and I had both had prior marriages and he had two children from his previous marriage and no new children were in our future, I was agreeable to the idea. Now you have to understand when my husband wants something....he wants it NOW...not later. I call this his instant gratification gene.
So out we went on a Sunday to look for a dog. We went several places before we stopped in a local reputable pet store that had a good selection of adorable puppies. Me.....I was interested in the cocker spaniel puppy. Hubby spied a little round ball of white fluff cowering in the back corner of his cage. Hubby immediately transitioned from a 41 year old man into a 5 year old boy and said "I want that little white one". So we managed to get a few puppies to take to the play room to find out what their personalities were like. The spaniel jumped all over the room. The little "white one" just stood in one place looking pleadingly up at us.
My husband bent over and picked him up again and held him close to his chest and said once more "I want the little while one". "Just look at him...he has little white eyelashes". Upon asking the price for "the little white one", I said "Honey, put the dog back in the cage". LOL! Once again, I heard......"BUT........I want this little white one". What could I do at that point. Was I going to dash the dreams and wants of that 5 year old boy.....uh...ooops...I mean 41 year old man?
On November 22, King arrived in his new home and has been ruling his Kingdom ever since. That "little white one" has been a true joy to have with us.

1. I am the first dog my mommy has ever had in her entire life!
2. I'm daddy's boy when he is not at the firehouse and like to snuggle with him when he takes a nap.
3. I don't like squeaky toys at all. They just don't interest me in the least. Give me a good rope to fetch or play tug with and I'm a happy camper.
4. I can do all kinds of trick, but I absolutely refuse to roll over.
5. I have an extreme fondness for vanilla ice cream and I know if someone says IC, Dairy Queen, or DQ it means I'm gonna get some!
6. Mommy says my name befits my personality. I like being King of the house and the backyard is my domain.
7. I can be pretty goofy sometimes and when I do something goofy, I look back over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.
