Day 1

I've been up to no good!

Dear Diary,

I've been up to mischief again! It all started last night. They put me outside -- I howled and yelled for them to let me back inside around 1:30 AM! Mom came down to get me and I know she knew that I had been up to something -- my white fur was all muddy and even though I tried to calm my nerves, it was pretty obvious that I had just come home from a crazy adventure. The next day, she gave me a bath first thing with bubbly warm water and lavendar soap. She even washed my collar and bedding. I was feeling very clean and special. She even put a tiny dot of lavendar oil on my collar - I do love to wear a small amount of perfume!

BUT, I couldn't control myself. There is too much fun outside the fence at this new house. Woods to run through, creeks to run beside, squirrels to chase. Mom put my sweet smelling self out for a minute to use the restroom - and I made a break for it. I won't even tell you how I got out because it's a secret from the family. They have no idea and I'm sure not stupid enough to write it down. The next door neighbor spotted me and called to me. I tried to pretend like I didn't hear her, but she was so persistent and there was no use getting in more trouble, so I followed her to our new front door. Mom was happy to see me, but I saw her look very upset when she saw all the mud on my white fur. I have to tell you, she was less happy when she smelled the mud and saw that some of it was something else -- I don't want to say it...I am a little ashamed that somehow that got all over me.

SO, back to the bathtub again for a more aggressive cleansing this time. My collar is still being disinfected in bleach.

I must try to stay out of trouble!

Day 1

Dear Diary,

My name is Annie. I was adopted from Paws for Pets a few months ago. Before that, I was in many foster homes, trying my best to have someone love me enough to let me become a part of their family!

My name used to be Mona. Then, for two minutes or so, I was called Foxy. Then, I was called Annie. This name seems to fit, so I have been Annie for many months now.

I get into trouble sometimes....I want attention so much and hate to be left alone. One time, I chewed a BIG hole through my family's pretty cedar fence and escaped from the lonely backyard. It was so much fun being free. Both times, however, someone found me and called my new family to come and pick me up. After the second escape, I didn't have to stay outside anymore during the day, so I guess it was worth something -- getting into that trouble for chewing up that fence.

I like staying inside. I sleep and chew my bone and wait and wait... until, finally! Here they come. All four of my crazy, loud family. My favorite is the one they call Monica and sometimes Mommy. She is sweet all the time. I sometimes like the one called Daddy or Jeff. I love playing with the two little boys, although they are a little rough at times. The little one gives me constant attention. I only sometimes try to get away.

Well, this is enough for now. More to come. Oh, did I mention? We are moving to a new home soon. It is in a place called Grapevine. Very exciting. I am riding in the car several times a week now. I'll share more about this later!
