Arrival Story:
My mom saw this little puppy in a pet store and fell in love with him. She made my dad take her there (over an hours drive) twice a week to look at him. I live in another state and she wanted to go see him, so I said, I will come get you and drive you there (mom can't drive at night) but that if I drive 2 hours we are taking the dog home. Long story short, we took him out of his crate and the little dog ended up shattering his shoulder just above the growth line so we got the vet to fix him up with plates and pins and he's our little Andrew

Bio:
Andrew is actually my folks pup, the joy of his mama and papa's life. He is a special little dog that can bring so much joy and happiness to his people. For the past 2 years Andy has been in a battle with a really aggressive cancer. He had one surgery and then chemo which has pretty much destroyed his kidney, just two months ago, the cancer was back and he had further surgery. This little fellow is such a trooper. He is coming back slowly, he doesn't feel well most days but still gives kisses and smiles and joy and love. Sadly Andy-pins lost his battle on September 29, 2005. We miss the little tip tap of his nails hitting the floor and his smile (yes, he actually smiled!). We are thankful that he joined our lives for the time he did and hope that he and his beloved friend Harry H. Browne are frolicking through the rivers and valley just across the rainbow bridge, together again and forever.

Hello Everyone!
Mama has been remiss in writing our diaries, my big brother Buddy and I tell her all the time and she nods and says, yes Little Jack, I know.

I wanted her to tell you about how much fun I have and that I'm just the happiest little dog in the world. I'm so happy that my tail just wags and wags and wags some more.

Last spring our neighbor came home with a puppy! Mama told us his name was Taco and he was a Pomeranian. We wanted to meet him so bad that we would bark and bark and pitch fits everytime he was out. We couldn't meet him until he finished getting his shots and got a little bigger. A whole month went by but then...joy of joy.....he came over to meet us!!!! Taco has been my best friend ever since....besides Buddy, Mama and the rest of the world that is!!!!

Taco and I play and play, we never stop chasing each other and wrestling and fighting over who is going to have the toy. Most of the time, we run with the toy between us. When Taco goes home, I pass out for a while.

There were some sad times, we lost my Nana in late May. Mama was very sad for a while and if you look close, she is still sad but she says that we make her happy so I wag my tail and give her chinny-chin-chin kisses.

Then, in November...the day before Mama's birthday, my friend Taco moved!!! Oh the distress, we can't play everday now. But Taco's Mama brings him over a couple of nights a week and we play. It's not as good, but it keeps us both happy....we love each other, did I mention, he's my best friend, besides my family?

I love to torture my brother. The other night, I took a flying leap and landed on top of him, he was not so very pleased. He barked and grrr'd at me for a full five minutes. I sat there smiling and wagging my tail and then I walked up to him and bit his foot! Little sissy, he went running to the Mama who scolded me. Well, okay, she tried to scold me, but she was laughing too much. Buddy was so annoyed, he went upstairs and jumped into bed. When we came up a little while later, he was still whining at me. Too funny. I let him help me eat my night-night treats and he was happier.

Well, we promise to write soon diary, but it's bedtime again.

pleasant dreams..woof's

Andrew lost his battle with his cancer on September 29, 2005. He was a most loved dog. His folks are devastated. His papa cried for days and days on end.

Andy was a loving little fellow with so much heart. He had an excellent home but a little bit of hard luck. He broke his left leg at 5 months old, had to have pins and other medical devices implanted to save the leg, he was lucky and had a wonderful surgeon and except when he was very tired or it was very cold and damp, you could hardly detect a limp in him. He never let it stop him. And then when he was 9, he was diagnosed with a nasty, agressive rectal cancer. he went through 2 surgeries and chemo for that. A very sick boy he was, but he still loved his family and friends.

Some of my best memories are of a young puppy named Andrew and his best friend Harry, who was 4 1/2. The puppy was fascinated by HHB's tail and would grab onto it with his mouth which would make HHB run like the wind and lift the puppy who would fly all 4 paws off the ground!

Or when we would take young Andy for a walk and the older dog, Harry would nudge your hand and take the lead from you and walk his baby dog down the street, very proud and protective.

And then there was Andy-Pins smile....it would alarm folks at first because all they saw was his teeth, and then they would break out in laughter and glee when they realized that he was smiling broadly at them. What a boy!

Yes, he was loved and is missed. Kisses and snuggles Andy. Goodnight to Aunt Karen's little-little.
