Arrival Story:
Please allow me to introduce to you, Hope Emanuella. This BEAUTIFUL purebred Dogue de Bordeaux puppy was surrendered to OTTR after being injured while with the rest of her litter mates. Nobody is actually sure as to what happened to her eye but, she is in need of medical attention. She was born on June 21, 2008 and is only a mere 3 months old. Hope's eye is totally ruptured and absolutely needs to be removed. OTTR has no idea when this eye injuries actually happened or how long she has been living like this but, we are going to fix her up completely.

Hello Everyone -

I am so excited to tell you that I have found my new forever home! I will be going home on 12-20-08 just in time to spend Christmas with my new family! You will NEVER guess where I get to travel to!......West Palms Beach, FL! How neat is that? My Mom & Dad have taken the "top spot" for furthest adoption thus far in OTTR history! Yes, they are driving here to carry out my adoption! I could not be happier and more excited to meet my new Mom & Dad as well as my 3 Bordeaux siblings!

Merry Christmas!
Hope

UPDATE: 11-18-08

Hope had her eye enucleation surgery today. She did great! She actually did so well that she was able to come home at 5:00pm this evening and did not have to spend the night. All of her pre-surgical blood work came back normal. She was very happy, bouncy, and playful when we picked her up from the Vet's! She really acts like she did not just have a surgery oerformed on her! She is getting a lot of TLC and alone time as she can not play with the other dogs here for at least 2 weeks. her sutures will be taken out in 2 weeks as well. She is taking pain meds. and an antibiotic pill 2x per day to help her recover. The area around her eye is pretty swollen but - they did a great job and we are sure she will still be a very beautiful girl once the hair on her face grows back (they had to shave some off). Thanks so much to everyone who donated to help with Hope's surgery!

UPDATE: 11-10-08

We have schudelud Hope's eye removal surgery for 11-18-08. She will be going in at 7:00am that morning and will most likely have to stay the night. She will prob. come home 11-19-08. We will keep you all posted on how she is doing after her surgery and of coarse, we will post new photos of her as well. Hope will not be available on the same date as the other 4 puppies as she will require at least 2 weeks to recover before going to her new home. As for Faith, she continues to do great however -- we are still concerned about her hips. She was the puppy least effected by the mange and she will be available for adoption when the 3 boys are. We are accepting applications on all of the puppies now and once we have approved homes, we are holding ONE adoption day for the babies. We will post this date for all of you at a later time. Thanks again to everyone who has helped with donations for these puppies!
