Birthday: September 10th 2006 Arrival Story: real heartbreaker for sure with those great big sad eyes and sweet demeanor! Daisy is between two and three years old and our vet believes she may have been used by a puppy mill, as she has cage sores on her butt that leave one to believe she lived in a wire cage? She also has obviously had lots and lots of litters, her mammaries area all black and worn out and hanging low like a cow. Poor Daisy! She was also so infested with fleas that she had hair loss. Right now we are treating her skin for flea allergy dermatitis and giving her high quality food and skin supplements so that her fur can grow back in and she can become the beautiful girl she was meant to be. When we first met she was very shy but once you get to know her she comes out of her shell and is very playful (her new best friend is Buddy, a dog we rescued from the same shelter Daisy came from). Daisy may need someone patient to work with her on housetraining (or who knows, she may pick it up right away?). She is a sweet girl who deserves to know the life of a much loved pet.
