Arrival Story:
We got Hyak as a "brother" for our 7 year old Husky Ricco. We picked him out of a litter of 6. He rolled over in my lap for a belly rub, then when we went to look at the others, he latched on to my husbands pant legs & tugged. I think he picked us that day!
Bio:
Hyak came fron Sher Khan kennels in Redmond, Wa. He was 1 of 5 in the litter-would love to find the others & see what they look like now to see if the marking look alike. He was part of a "try 'em out" litter for a new male & female they got. When he was born , they decided he wasn't show quality so we got him! We know know why-he has "long" hair for a husky. We think this makes him much more cuddly & lovable. (He loves to sleep ON you at night-it's better than a down comforter-little heavier though at 70 lbs!) We live in the Bellevue area so he loves the outdoors. He is an odd Siberian though-he LOVES water & swimming! We take him to the park/lake & we can't get him out. Hyak is almost 2 yoa now, and a little monster :-) He still loves to swim, and has actually chewed the hose off the faucet & turned it on so he can play in the spray of water. His long hair drives us a little crazy-its a good thing his brother doesn't shed-cause Hyak sheds enough for both of them. I have actually gotten him used to the vaccuum -that way I can just suck off the hair. His newest thng is brown paper bags & shredding them. He also likes to unroll the TP and shred it. Hyaks favorite place in the house are in front of the fan on hot days, and on the arm of the couch by the front room window-he looks like a giant cat (with a really big husky head attached).
He does this funny thing we call "CPR" when he wants attention-he will climb on you, take both front feet & use quick pushes on your chest (or whatever else he can find)-just like someone doing CPR-then he burries his head under you & snorts like a pig. That is one thing he has never quit doing since we got him as a puppy-the snorting.
