Hurry up Christmas!!

So I just don't get the whole "present" thing. I can smell doggie toys under the tree mom put in the living room. She tried to hide it in some paper and ribbons, but I know they are there. YET- when I went under the tree digging around for one (and brought it over to the couch to really have a go at it) mom jumped up and snatched it away! She said it was a "present" and I had to wait. Wait for what??? I want it now! So, I went back under and got it while she was in the shower... heh heh... I'm not that sneaky though and she spotted it as soon as she came back downstairs. NOW she's put the "presents" in a colorful box with a lid. When Oh When will I get my chew toy back?!? Gidget, of course, is too enamored with the plug in blanket to care about the new toys under the tree. One of these days though, when no one is looking, I may just get into that colorful box....

Belated b-day entry

Hello everyone! I recently celebrated my 2nd birthday!!! I am officially a "big boy" now. Although mommy says I'll always be her little guy. Last year we had a big party with a bunch of my chi friends over and we ate cake and ran around the back yard and then we all scrambled onto the bed and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun but this year it was more low-key. I got extra snuggles and treats and my own pet Beta Fish!

The folks have been pretty busy doggie sitting ANOTHER chihuahua named Sam. He is my best friend, Angelo's brother. Sam is very very shy though. He runs away from us (esp. Gidget because she rushes him whenever he pokes his head out of his bed- she's a witch!) but I try to sit with him in the front window. Mom says we have to be friendly and patient with Sam, he has epilepsy and had a seizure today. Me and Gidget didn't know what was going on but then he was fine and just walked around kinda dizzy for awhile. It's taken a whole week for him to settle in but now he's not so afraid anymore. Daddy has been really trying to be extra attentive to Sam but Gidget hates that. She's such a brat!

Anyway, I smell bratwursts. My mommy sneaks me stuff sometimes when Gidget isn't watching (hee hee) so I better put on my best puppy face!!

Honeymoon

Hi everyone out there! Well, we have been super busy around here since mom and dad got hitched... and now they are on their "honeymoon", whatever that is. I was really upset that we can't go along on this moon thing but then I found out my friend Scout (another chi) and his mom are going to stay here with us! I love company!!! I can show him all of my things and we can play play play. Since we're two boys, we can pick on Gidget for two whole weeks! I admit I am sad that my mom will be away for that long, it's the longest she's ever been away from me, sniff... but she said her friend promises to be good to us. I'm just glad I'll have a friend here to play with. Poor Gidget will be miserable without daddy. She's just a wreck when he's not around. Anyway, I think Scout wants to play- see ya!!

Goin' to the Chapel...

Mom and Dad got married last weekend!! Gidget and I couldn't go, because the fancy hotel wouldn't take dogs but that's okay. Gidget and I had fun with our person friend Tanya. She spoiled us and even sang "Going to the chapel" at the exact time the folks were walking down the aisle. ha ha She's a silly human.

I guess this means we're going to keep dad. I like him alright so I'm glad. Even though Gidget is the total spoiled one, he's pretty good to me too. My job is to keep his head warm at night and keep him company when he goes out back to work on the roof and stuff. That kind of boy stuff really bores Gidget so she stays in the house on a fluffy pillow. Speaking of which, I haven't bugged her in awhile- better go!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year all of my doggie friends! I hope everyone had as great a holiday as I did. My mom's mom was here for a Christmas visit and I love her! She carries me and Gidget around all day and pets us constantly. Not unlike what mom and dad do, but it's nice to have variety. Anyway, after a week she left. But then I heard her voice so I started looking for her. I couldn't smell her or see her but her voice was coming out of mom's computer screen. Very weird. Then it happened again. It seems that she has now taken over the computer and lives in the screen. Mom and her talk all of the time and laugh. It's not as much fun to have her living in the screen though- because she can't pet me any longer. Oh well, maybe they will let her out of the screen again for another visit soon!!!

Merry Christmas!

OH BOY! Mom put up pretty sparkling lights outside last night and tonight she put up a big tree in the living room!!! I sort of remember a "Christmas tree" about a year ago but she took it down because me and Gidget peed on the carpet thingie underneath. I guess she thought it was time to bring it back!!! She also put on fun "Christmas music" and sang along. I love "Christmas music" and our "Christmas tree". I also love the smells coming out of the kitchen lately... I didn't think we could beat Thanksgiving but cookies and hot chocolate are right up my alley!!!

A chill in the air

Well, Halloween was awesome. Mom and me sat on the front steps all dressed in our costumes and gave out candy. I was a really good boy- didn't bark at any of the scarey ghosts and goblins. Gidget, however, barked a lot- but I don't think she was scared; she was angry that everyone was walking away with her candy. :) I can't wait until next year!!!

Happy Halloween Everyone! I am so excited. I heard we were going to get lots of ghosts and goblins coming up to the door so I can bark them all away! Oh boy! I do get kinda scared sometimes, but with my big sis there, I think we can take any scary monster on!

I can't believe we were on the TV! I saw MYSELF on the TV. I couldn't believe it- first I wanted to bark, but then I just stared.... I had no idea I was so doggone handsome!!! hee hee It was all very exciting to see my friends, all dressed up and having fun at the halloween dog meetup. All except Gidget, of course. She was on TV last year so she wasn't surprised when the camera crew showed up (for three local stations, mind you), and she actually ran right up to the camera and started howling how she was cold and wet and how she never asked to be a preppy cheerleader! What a turd. I, on the other hand, LOVED my pumpkin costume! I was having so much fun with my friends, I never realized we were even being filmed! Good thing I got a brush before we went- who knows what cute chicas saw me on the boob tube!!

Oh boy. I can't believe what these humans come up with for fun things to do! We all went to that park where my friends play (I can never figure out why we don't go more often instead of every 2nd Sat. since those other chis are ALWAYS there when we go). I dressed up as a pumpkin! And Gidget was a cheerleader! And there were soooo many other fun costumes. Mom kept saying Howling costumes since it's almost Howling but that didn't make any sense to me since no one was howling... just barking a lot. Whatever, she gets mixed up sometimes. Anyway, I had SO MUCH FUN!!! Of course, Gidget complained that it was too hot, too cold, too smelly, her dress was too short (yeah right, I think she LIKED that!). Mom should have dressed her as a little witch this year! ha ha I love Howling!!!!
