Our Lexi's First Birthday!

It is so hard to believe that our Lexi love is already a year old! We remember driving to Maine to get her. Her brother wants to know what happened to that cute little tiny puppy we got for him. Where does all the time go?

Now she is about 24 inches tall and weighs 110 pounds and still growing! She is a delight to be with and everyone loves her. We are getting her ready to take her CGC test and then to become a therapy dog. Who wouldn't love that puss? Although she is so big, she is ever so gently and spends a lot of time with my grandkids who are 5 and 2.

Thank you our precious girl for making our lives richer!

I started by 3 rd doggy class!

And was it fun! Two of my old doggy friends where still in my class and what a joy to see them. Hugs and Kisses all around.

After this class, I get to join the Kennel Club and there is so much more to do I can't wait. They even have a breakfast for me and my Mom and Dad and a lot of seminars for them. Also, once I join, most of my classes are free. I hear my Mom and Dad want to to be a Therapy Dog, so I have to pass by Canine Good Citizen Test to to that and they show you how. You can go there everyday of the week if you want.

They have lots of things for us doggies to do! Just 5 more weeks to wait.

I just got weighed!!!

I don't know if this is good or not, but I weighed in at 75 pounds. My Mommy and Daddy where jumping for joy. They said I am going to be a big girl even though I am only 6 1/2 months old. I am already 24 inches at the withers ( what is a wither anyway?)

My daddy is 165 pounds and my mommy is 135 pounds.

I don't know how happy my brother Jackson is. I was just a wee thing when I came home and now I can jump leaps and pounds over him and hold my own when playing. I luv my brother Jackson though.

I just finished up my second puppy class. The first was Puppy K and the other one was Basic Manners 1. My next class starts 4/19 and is called Basic Manners 2. Then my human Mom and Dad want me to get my Canine Good Citizen and become a therapy dog. They also want me to learn agility and become a show dog. Now, how many more classes will that be?

I already miss my puppy classmates, but I play with the doggies on our street and go visiting the doggy stores and park.

Help!

Now that I am in Puppy K I have to do homework everyday! It really is not that bad, but I would rather be sitting on my mommy's lap. She laughs that I will be a 130 pound big girl still sitting on her lap. I think I might kill her because she is tiny.

Now my I am taller than by brother Jackson, not sure how he feels about it though. I can walk or jump right over him and they still call me a baby. Don't thinks so!!!

Next door our neighbors got two 8 week old goldens, a boy and a girl and boy are the great. I keep pulling like a crazy girl to get to them and we have to go down a hill, once my mommy landed on her butt. She was not too happy about that, but I gave her lots of kisses and than ran over to see the puppies.

I am still on medicine for my tummy but that stops tomorrow, thank goodness. I hear them talking that they hope I don't break down again and have to go on another medication. I don't want any more medicine, I want more food after all I am growing you bully girl.

Anyway, that is about it now.

I Went to Puppy K Today!!!

I did not know where I was going as the only place I ever go is to the vets..LOL

Well this was very interesting. I was a little scared at first because it was such a big place, but the puppies like me had there own room. There were six of us all about the same age. There was one puppy that kept barking and she made me upset so I tried to hide under my Mommy and Daddy's chair.

Then the fun started! I got to do things they called training/positive reinforcement but all I know is I got tons of these really good yummy treats, they just coming and coming and coming.

Then we went home and I fell asleep in the car. I heard that I have homework and have to practice what I learned. How cool is that because I am not sure what I learned other than getting lots of goodies to eat..Yeah!! So, bring on the practicing.

Can't wait for next Sunday to go to my class.

I am home now!!!!

My new mommy and daddy picked me up on Sunday and when the got there they said Lexi, but all my brothers and sisters came running, but they knew which one was me. We then went back to the hotel in Portland, Maine and they said I was a very good girl. I had lots of new toys too. On Monday we made the 9 hour trip back and I slept most of the way.

Got home and met my new brother Jackson and we both luv each other. He is awesome! He even lets me play with all his toys.

I just know I am going to love it here.

My mommy said I was a very good girl because last night I went to bet at 10 PM and did not get up until 6:30 AM. I went to the vet on Tuesday and everything was great. I even gained 2 pounds.

Life is good!

My name is Lexie

I was born on 9/1/08 and my new forever Mommy and Daddy are driving all the way for just outside of Phila to Maine this weekend to come get me and bring me home.

I am so excited. I hear I have the greatest brother. He is an English Bulldog name Jackson and he is 4 years old. He misses his bullmastiff sister Emily who went to the Rainbow Bridge on 9/16/07. She joined her other bullmastiff sister and brother there.

My new Mommy and Daddy are so happy to have a bullmastiff in the house again, although they love Jackson so much.

I will write more when I get home.
