Ado, ado

The runt has fell ill. Caughing like it's his job and basically finding any last way to possibly cause any annoyances in the household. Of course he's had the humans at his disposal, waiting on his sickly self hand and foot. Yesterday as we were strolling the grassy fields yonder, I gave that little runt a head-butt and sent him flying to Tahiti. Humans remarked that it was the funniest thing they've regarded thus far. The runt is the lesser dog in the household and somebody needs to instill that in his petite pee-brain. I digress.

The horribly humid season of summer has unofficially kicked off, and I am less than amused. It is just common knowledge among us ladies that the humidity is horrible for our hair, not to mention that I despise the hot and sweaty feeling. It is detestable, darling. Detestable!

I have a mad desire to go shopping. My Loofa is officially destroyed, courtesy of -you guessed it- the runt. Not just destroyed, massacred. The unfortunate thing has had all of it's inner contents (stuffing in simpler terms) removed, and ever so violently. I do suspect that the runt has some inner-frustration that he is no doubt bestowing upon us in the form of destruction.

I will now go lounge on the couch like a true lady.

My Tail of Devotion for Sally

My dear Sally,

You're a great dog, you really are. You learn commands so quickly, and it always amazes me. We can have a 10 minute training session, and by the end you've already mastered the trick. You're probably smarter than most of the kids at my high school.

Sometimes the crotch-sniffing can get a little invasive, I admit, but I realize that it's your way of greeting people and saying 'hello'. You can style with the best of them, not all people are that fashionable. Actually, a lot of them are not.Your unique-ness makes you so special. I haven't encountered another dog like you, and I don't think that I ever will. You are my little sister, you just have a little extra hair and a longer snout and you sniff butts. Other than that we're very similar.

You are my idea of pure and utter perfection.

When my parents got divorced 5 years ago, you were there for me when not a lot of people were. The divorce was very traumatic for me, and I had a sketchy relationship with my father for quite some time after. I still do. When the world around me was changing you were one of my only constants in life and you brought me much comfort.

When I first met you back in 1999, I was a little 8 year old girl who didn't particularly like dogs. Who didn't particularly want one. Who was afraid of dogs. But when I got you, you changed me forever. Now I'm a canine fanatic and very educated about and involved in animal rescue. We didn't rescue you, but if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been involved in dog communities where my eyes were opened about the animal overpopulation. I educated people about the animal overpopulation and convinced some to adopt and spay/neuter when they wouldn't have otherwise. Lives were saved because of you and the strong bond that I share with you, Sally. Who knew that a simple hairball from a farm way out in the heart of the country would make such an imprint on someones life?

I believe that you are a gift from God, and that we were destined to know each other. I can't even begin to imagine my life without you, Sal. But enough with the mushy stuff, you're a cool dog and I'm glad that you're mine. One day we will rule the world.

You turned me into a better person and I offer you infinite thanks.

Tomorrow

So tomorrow we depart on our endeavour to 'the states'. I still can't quite put my paw on what it is. Maybe it's a fancy desert pastry. Maybe it's a herd of other playful pups who will cater to the last of my every demand and sniff my derierre on request. Maybe it's a place with leash free fields yonder where I can chase cats til the cows come home. I'm starting to get myself really excited.

I love riding in the car, but I heard Momma make mention of a new car. Evidentially we're getting a new car the day before a huge expedition down south. What a crazy family, BOL (Bark out loud). It's supposed to be a Honda or something. I hope I like it.

Momma said something about giving me a bath tomorrow so that I don't stink in the car. Do I really stink? Should I be insulted? I think that Momma just wants to get me pretty so that she can show off cute 'ol me to the states, whatever the states is. Maybe it's a person on top of a vast mountain of milkbones, yearning to give them to the prettiest dog in the world. Of course I'd win hands down. In that case maybe a bath wouldn't hurt.

I'll write about this 'vacation' of ours to the 'states' whatever it be.

L'entry En Francais

Bonjour mes amis!
Au'jourd hui je veux ecrire mon diary en francais. Pardon moi si mon diary est ecrire mauvais, je ne parle pas francais tres bein!
Au'jourd hui Tori et moi marchons a la parc. C'etait tres amusant! J'aime les marches! Je veux sentis la neige et les abres. Je aboye a la garcon, Tori etait tres fachee a moi! Nous marchons a la parc de tous les jours. Je suis tres heureux! J'aime Tori!
Il y a des maisons jaune et rose sur la rue. La maisons est tres laid et les maisons est tres brillant! Ugh.
Les Printemps vient tot ceci anee. J'aime cela. Je n'aime pas l'hiver. La neige va dans ma pattes, et il besse aussi! La seule chose j'aime pour l'hiver et la souris chasse avec mon ami, Rosie. Il y a tres amusant!
J'aime la lutte! La lutte est tres bien! Ma catcheur preferer est Lita. Elle lutte tres bien! Elle a la blessure de genou...Tori est moi coup manque Lita! Tori obtenu a parle avec Lita, et Tori demande si elle aime les Collies, et Lita dit «Lassie rules.». Tori et moi est tres heureuse! Tori aussi demande que dentifrice elle usages. Lita dit «Vanilla mint toothpaste rules!!!! Sorry random: Just had to let y'all know.».

Christmas

I hope that every dogster out there had a very Merry Christmas. I know that I sure did! On Christmas morning, we opened presents (the family decided not to spend Christmas at Nana's house). Tori bought me a cow knuckle, that I devoured right away! She also bought me a chew toy that is perfect to play "Gimme That" (a tug of war game that Tori and I invented) with. Tori and I payed "Gimme that" with it a lot already! Tori also gave me a shiny purple tag that says "Diva" on it. It is so pretty! She said that she bought it because I am her little Diva dog. That made me feel good. For Christmas dinner, Tori's Auntie Bev, Uncle Randy, cousin Cassaundra and cousin's boyfriend Craig, and of course Nana came over for dinner. Tori and her mom were mad because they did all of the work for Christmas dinner. Tori was also mad because Cassaundra ignored her the whole time. All Cass was doing was making out with Craig, and that made even me sick. And did I mentioned they "Baby talked" me? ugh, I hate when people do that. "Hey little puppy, goochi goochi goo!". I am not one month old! At least Tori talks to me like I'm her sister!
Yesterday, I curled up on the couch and watched the entire WWE Raw with Tori. I saw the Lita vs. Molly Holly match, and that was COOL. I grunted everytime Edge came on, Tori found that hilarious.
Well, I gotta go, Cats to chase, raccoons to bark at, the norm.

The Bath

Last night, Tori gave me bath! I knew something was wrong when she came down stairs in her swim suit. She called me, and I followed her! Then when we got to her mum's room, she shut the door, then I knew trouble! She tried to call me into the washroom, but I wasn't gonna have any of that, so she had to pull me in. I put up a good fight, though. Then she put on the shower radio and came in, too. It was horrible! Tori assured me that she knew what she was doing, and I trusted her. And fortunately for me she did know what she was doing, and did a great job. Whenever a song came on the shower radio, Tori would sing, and I would look at her like she's an idiot. You should've heard her sing "Innocent" by Our Lady Peace and "Vertigo" by U2. It was hilarious! Then after the shower, she blow dried me, which took a while because I have so much fur. I looked like a big puff ball! Then she brushed me, so my fur went back to normal. She says that my fur is very soft, and it is! She said that before I smelled like a dog, and now I smell like Herbal Essences! I'm guessing that it's a good thing. Can you believe that the only reason that she bathed me was because "she wanted me to look good for Christmas because everyone was going to see me!"? If that's what I have to do for Christmas, then count me out! But at least I get treats and presents out of it! Raw's on tonight, and Tori's friends are coming to sleepover and watch it with us (it's on at midnight tonight).
Well, I better go, I got some territory to mark and some protecting to do,

Sally says Merry Christmas!

Hola! Yesterday, Tori took me out for a walk with Tammy and Max. I was soooo happy when I saw her open the door on our way out, she forgot to put on my scarf! It was great. The snowflakes fell, and they were huge! I got covered! And later last night, Tori and I watched Raw. Tori was so upset, because as soon as she left the room, her Uncle came in and switched the channel. And to Tori's dismay, he started watching....FOOTBALL! Ahhh! Tori kicked him out, and as he left, our favourite wrestler, Lita, was walking up the ramp. We missed her part! Tori was sooo MAD. I was mad, too. We look forward every week to watch Lita, and we missed it. Oh well, Tori and I are going to watch it on the internet. Tori can't walk me today because it is Tammy's birthday, and she's going to her party. I'm crushed! Yesterday, Tori told me that we are spending Christmas at her Nana's house. How fun is that? We're sleeping over Christmas Eve, and opening presents Christmas morning. Tori bought me a present, but as soon as I looked in that direction, she hid it under a bag. She said that I'm going to like it. Tori is also excited because her Aunty Bev, Uncle Randy (yes, the one who ruined Raw for us), her Cousin Cassaundra and her cousin's boyfriend, Craig, are also sleeping over. I can't wait to open presents with all of them! I know that Tori is going to keep me good company. Christmas better hurry up!

Rainy/Snowy Week...

Sorry for not writing in a long time, the internet has been down. Yesterday Tori took sooo many pictures of me (if you noticed the new pictures on my page), and it took forever. I just couldn't sit still! At least Tori played fetch with me in the sideyard in the snow after. She didn't even make me wear the dreaded Blue scarf! Last night, Tori's mum lt us stay up way late to watch Raw. It was so great. Our favourite wrestler, Lita won the women's title. How cool is that? Tori paraded around the house happily after that. I got very excited, too, especially after watching Tori act so stupid.
Today, Tori's very stupid, annoying, lazy brother walked me instead of Tori. I got all confused. I honestly can't stand that kid. When I was a puppy, I hated being left alone with him because he used to hit me....ALOT! And for no reason! Luckily, most of the time, Tori would come to the rescue. She would scoop me up in her arms and yell at him, and take me away and give me lots of love and attention. Besides, his walks are really short.... He takes me around the wimpy block, while Tori most of the time takes me to the school (which is way longer), and she lets me run off leash and play fetch. And she also lets me play with other dogs, which I adore, because I'm super social.
Well, I better go before Tori catches me on this contraption.

Yesterday and Today

Yesterday Tori didn't take me out on a walk, I was soooo crushed! It was like the first day in so long that she didn't! At least last night we got to watch Raw together. The best match was Lita and Victoria vs. Trish and Molly. I just had to bark at the TV during that one. J.R. was so cool last night! LOL. Today at least I went on a walk. All day I had to put up with Tori complaining that the internet wasn't working (that's why I couldn't update my journal). There is so much good smelling food being made here, especially for Tori's school project on Germany, I didn't know what to do! Whenever I begged for chocolate, Tori just looked at me and said, "sorry, chocolates bad for dogs". I mean, how evil is that? Should I be offended?
Today, I got so bored, you know, walking the boring block, that I actually barked at squirrels. Tori was shocked, just to say the least. I even tried to chase one up a tree. I scared it good, believe me. When I came home, I barked at Tori's Uncle for no reason whatsoever, and I begged Tori's grandma for food (as usual). Yup, life here is pretty normal. Nothing new to report.
Well, better bark at strangers walking outside, you know, to keep the house safe and stuff.

Its the Weekend, Yay!

Yesterday, Tori took me on a long walk to her Grandmother's house. It took us about 2 hours! I got really freaked out when we got there. I had no idea where we were! I kept on pacing, and tried to convince Tori to leave, but she stayed anyway! Talk about stubburn!
Then when we came home, Tori went out to a movie, and left me all alone with her mom! After she came back, her 2 friends slept over. But at least I got lots of attention from them. This morning, after they left, Tori and I watched the WWE Experience. LOL. I saw the clip with Trish, Shelton and Vince Mc Mahon. We also watched the best of Much on Demand, and Believe it or not, Trish was on that, too!
You know what I don't understand? How I can tell the difference between a cat, a Chihuhaua and a squirrel, especailly from like 30 feet away! Tori says that I have a specail gift that way. But then she gets VERY mad at me for barking at cats, and trying to pull her.
Yesterday, Tori told me that I smell like a dog. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Should I be insulted?
Well, Tori has to use the computer now for her project on Germany that's due tomorrow, so I better go before she gets MAD.

Day After Thanksgiving

Well, today was pretty mellow.
Tori took me out for a LONG walk with Tammy and Max, we were out until after the street lights came on! Tori and Tammy walked to Tammy's friend's house, and I was just standing around, minding my own buisness, when this really out of control dog ran up and started to attack me! It was their friend's dog, and she put that mongrul inside the house. Dogs like that make me sick! Tori told me that I held my ground well, and that she could pit me in a fight against a bear! She said that I'm as tough as nails! That sure raised my ego!
At dinner, Tori gave me the rest of her cheese and chicken tortilla. And I finished it right before Tori's mom came in, which made Tori happy.
I noticed that over the last few weeks, Tori and I just keep on getting closer.
She is such a nice sister to me! I mean, we watch Raw together every Monday night, we play soccer, we go for walks everyday, we watch movies (and she always slips me popcorn), she reads me stuff, we meet other dogs, She plays her saxophone for me and I sing along, and we play fetch, etc. Everything that every owner and dog do, only better. She is totally my bestfriend.
I can't wait until Christmas, I'm totally in the Christmas mood. Yay for Holiday spirit....

Happy Turkey Day, Dogs!

Today Tori took me out for a walk, only this time not with Max and Tammy, Just the two of us, which was nice. It was a wimpy walk, only around the block. But I shouldn't complain because all of the snow melted, so Tori didn't make me wear the dreaded Blue scarf, as its now being called.
The good part was that Tori played fetch with me until her asthma started to act up.
We saw that crazy lady up the road again, but luckily this time she didn't make me play with her scary dog. She just said "Hi".
You know what gets on my nerves? When all Tori talks about the people she can't stand. Whoever bugs my sister crosses Sally, and whoever crosses Sally regrets crossing Sally. Its a vicious cycle.
Today Tori gave me some of her cheese strings. I think I discovered a new favorite food.
Well, I gotta go, Thanksgiving dinner is calling "Sally, Sally", Tori will slip me something good, I know it!

From the brain of Sally

I just got home from a walk. And yes Tori DID make me put on the ridiculous Blue scarf, although she kindly aggusted it several times throughout the walk to make it more comfortable for me, but thats not to say I wasn't embaressed!
Max and Tammy were laughing at me the whole time because of the stupid scarf (and I'm sure every dog in the neighborhood will laughed too)!
Thankfully the snow isn't high enough to get caught between my toes, that really makes walks more painful.
Today, I decided to make life more difficult for Tori on our walk, so I took every chance I could to pee. Tori was not very happy, but she couldn't yell at me because she didn't know that I was doing it on purpose!
Ugh, earlier Tori made me pose for the webcamera when she took my Christmas pictures for the Holiday Photo Party thing. I did not like that at all. The stupid Santa ears kept on falling off! At least I got lots of treats for doing such a good job posing, Tori said I would be a good dog model. Better then those Weimareiners, thats for sure.
Well, I should go, there's a pillow in front of the warm fire place calling my name!

Dog Day

Today was very, very boring. I was alone almost all day, and as soon as Tori came home from school, she had to go to her dad's house. She couldn't even walk me because she had to leave right away!
Anyways, I can totally feel a bath coming my way, I can just tell. Apparently, I smell pretty bad.
Last night was a good Raw, eh? It was interesting, although half-way through, I decided that I needed a nap, so I fell asleep. At least I got to see the Lita match, though. Again, Tori predicted all of the matches right, except for 1 (the triple threat). The good part of falling asleep is that Tori rubbed my belly the whole time (Yay!), and she told her annoying brother to stop screaming at the TV.
The cold season is starting. I can definately wait until it snows, because then Tori dresses me up in that ridiculous Blue scarf when we go for walks. Its just soooo embaressing! I also hate it when the snow gets clumped up between my toes. The sidewalk salt on the paws is no walk in the park, either!!!!
The only good part about the snow season is when I get to go mouse hunting with Rosie. Although Tori always gets mad at me whenever I do get a mouse, I like to do it anyways because I really like to annoy Tori, sometimes!!!!!

Baths and Walks

Well, today Tori had to go to school, so I was left all alone! When she came home we went for walk, with Max and Tammy! Tammy is Tori's friend, and Max is her Minature Schnauzer. Sometimes I get really annoyed with Max, but its always alot more fun to go on a walk with somebody else. But you know one thing that bothers me? When a cat runs around outside, and I'm not allowed to bark at it! I always get yelled at for barking at them, but those cats are asking for it!
Anyways,Raw's on tonight, and if any of you know, that just happens to be my favourite show. Its always fun to watch Tori get all frusterated and yell at the TV. I'm so mad, I heard mom tell Tori that I smell bad, and that I need a bath. I just can't stand baths! Aren't dogs supposed to smell bad??
I should go, dinner smells pretty appetizing, and Tori will probably slip me some.....LOL.

Today

Today was a great day. This morning I curled up on the couch and watched the WWE Experience with my Sister. After that we went for an off leash park and played fetch. Tori still can't keep up with me. My goodness is that girl out of shape. On our way back, the crazy lady up the street pulled my leash away from Tori, and shoved me in her backyard with her Collie. That Collie is freakin insane! It jumped on me, and Tori tried to get my leash back, but the lady said "Oh she's ok". I think that my sister knows better! She finally got the leash back and we went home. Then I got groomed (Yuck). For dinner we had hamburgers (Tori gave me a bit of hers). Then we watched Sunday Night Heat, and Tori predicted all of the matches right. All in all it was a pretty good day.
