HI I am sorry that I haven't updated an entry in oh so long. Allot of things in my life have changed. I am still living with my momma (that is one thing never to change) but we have moved from the North (Massachusetts) to the South (South Carolina). It was a very big change for both of us. Momma had to make the change for us due to her health conditions which is also why we haven't been in to update in Quite some time.
Momma was very very sick for a long long time and couldn't even begin to figure out how to get back in here to update. But long tail short, BOL, She is doing better and we are going to try to keep updates in here a little more well, updated.
The big move took a long day into the night driving we moved all of our stuff in a big big moving trailer. I got to ride up front with my family of course. Momma laid down a nice comfy bed on the floor on the passengers side and we were all snug and safe the entire trip.We stopped at lots of different places along the way to let us do our potty breaks and eat and stretch out. I got to see so many different places I never thought I would see. We moved into a nice house with a huge fenced in back yard. Momma had a roommate that also had a dog so I got to make a new friend and we were so happy. I do however, miss my papa Wayne. He drove back after helping us move in. But he has come to visit me twice since then and we always have fun when we get together. He updates momma allot too so we know we are never truly all that far apart.
Momma has a new boyfriend that she now has us sharing an apartment with the other arrangement didn't work out past the winter. I don't have a big house or a big fenced in yard anymore.. :( But we do have a side yard with lots of grass and at the other end of the parking Lot is another grassy spot with lots of shading trees and places for me to have fun. We go to lots of places together, and have lots of fun. We take long walks and short walks like dozens of times every day when it is nice but about half that time when it is rainy. I have become stubborn and won't wear my raincoat anymore.. But I don't mind the rain all that much.
We go to the lakes and waterfalls to swim and I've only seen a few inches of snow since we moved here last Summer so that is nice especially for momma. I don't mind not having to get that cold anymore either. I have made some new friends here and I no longer have to worry about getting hurt by angry dogs when I am outside. Whew, what a relief that is.
Momma's boyfriend even got me my very own boat for floating on the lake in. I like it cause I don't have to always be in the water in order to be near momma while she is swimming. It even has my very own name on it on both the front and the back. Sometimes I still hug momma and we float together with her orange donut. She knows I feel better when she is hugging me. I sure hope everyone else is having a great year and are healthy. I sure would love to hear some updates! BOL, Take care and I'll be wagging my tail at ya's again real soon.

Well, Mom and I have been trying to keep ourselves a little bit busy this week. Mom needs to get outside and enjoy the weather while it is still nice enough for her to. Because she is calling it Fall now, and all I know is that when she calls it that and starts putting sweaters on me oh boy. There is a change coming in the weather around here soon, and it will happen fast!ON come the clothes then SNOW white stuff!
Mom and I spent some good amount of time out in Daddy's backyard over the weekend. I enjoyed that allot because his backyard is bigger than the one we have at our apartment. We of course don't have an apple tree in our yard either, but Daddy does. Oh boy do I like the smell of those! They fall from his trees and just go PLOP on the ground! And I bop them around like they are balls, sniffing them and hitting them rolling over the grass where they have landed... There is nothing sweeter than that. Mom says sometimes that gets my fur a little sticky, but do I care? heck no! I just run into daddy's house when I am done outside, jump up on his high bed and roll around on it until all that is off and then I give him my look,
you all know what I am talking about, those eyes, that just melt your heart.
What?? Oh your blanket is wrinkled? I can fix that, and I paw it here and paw it there. The next thing you know, Daddy has fallen for my trick and he is coming toward me with a biscuit all for me! Wahoo!
What a life! Then it's Mom's turn,, of course she takes a little more work Because she knows what I am up to, Mom's always do you know. But eventually, by the time we are heading into snack time before bed or if it is the day we have to return home. She gives in and goes to the store next door and gets me those tasty beef sticks she just knows I adore. This past weekend I got a bonus one! The nice lady that owns the store saw me in the yard and heard me barking out my hello to her when she was returning to the store and she went into the store, came right over to me and started patting me on the head, giving me all sorts of praise and breaking me off pieces of one of those tasty beef sticks right up until it was all gone and then she gave me one last belly rub and said her bye byes and vanished back into her store. Wow she is swell. She always gives me special treats.. I think it is because I am such a helper, I greet her customers with a handy helper "Hello" bark from time to time when I am in the backyard at daddy's.
Anyhow, it is the nearing the end of the week again. I had to chase a squirrel off my back patio yesterday. Mom said I did a good job taking back my yard. :) Today, my package came in from the nice guy in the big brown truck with UPS on the side. Mom let me try on my new fleece houndstooth jacket and my new vest as well. she says I will be needing those to stay warm pretty soon. SNOW coming soon?? But she made a comment about the vest needing some adjustments for well, space requirement needed for Willy. She says it fits well, but she doesn't want me to 'make it wet' by mistakes.... good luck mom looks like another sewing job for papa the ol' boyscout training comes in handy BOL..

Well it is Tuesday morning. Mom and I got woken up by someone knocking really loud on our new next door neighbor's door. We definetly have come to believe they are a nuisance. But we know that we have to take a grain of pepper with every container of salt. Or something like that. Mom says sometimes you can't pick your neighbors, but when your a dog you can always sniff each other's tails. BOL.
That reminds me of a story mom told me once about how that all started.. BOL She was told this story from someone who was told it when he was very small by his mom ...
Why do dogs always sniff each other's tails??
The story goes,, that once upon a time a long long time ago all the dogs got together and had a big party. And they hung their tails up next to the door.
Well time went by and they had too much of a good time, and after awhile, when it was time for them to leave a few of the dogs made the mistake of taking the wrong tails home with them. Thus, now forever more all the dogs are left sniffing every tail in search of those lost tails!! BOL BOL I have to laugh everytime I think about that silly story.. It sorta makes since out of it though, Can you think of a better reason to tell a small child why doggies are always sniffing each other there?
It sure ends there curiousity quick. and mommy says, it works ..
Anyhow, mom is still confused as to how she ended up having to have two pages for me. And wanted to let everyone know she didn't try to confuse anyone by doing this. She just ended up having to do it yesterday when trying to sign up for a group. She is just as baffled as I am when I am looking for a toy in the bottom of my toy basket and it isn't there and I dig out all of my toys just to remember I left it upstairs in her bed. She is still confused about why I am still ascared of my own backyard.. I never use to be but over the past couple of weeks, suddenly I really really am.
