Arrival Story: I GOT ADOPTED!! WISH ME LUCK IN MY NEW FOREVER HOME!!
Bio: Minne is an owner surrender that had to be rescued by boat from the second floor of the home under water from the flood in Iowa. Owner had no choice but to give her up. Minnie is a big dog, about 90 pounds, and very loving. She loves people and attention. She gets along with kids and ignores cats. She gets along with other dogs and likes to play with other dogs but can play rough if provoked. She has been around a small bichon and was fine. She loves people more than other dogs. Minnie loves to sleep and eat. She was very skinny when she came - about 70 pounds-- into rescue and with some TLC she has gained a lot of weight. Minnie would do well in a single family household as an only pet or with one other dog smaller than her. She also needs a secure fence, she can easily jump a 4 foot fence. As is common with the breed, Minnie sheds quite a bit and needs regular grooming. She is up to date on shots and vaccinations and is heartworm negative.
