Arrival Story:
Lucy was adopted from the West Valley Shelter in the San Fernando Valley in December of 2007. She was found in November of 2007 half starved and tied to a tree in front of a hospital wearing her collar, harness and a doggie jacket. When a friend and I went to the local shelter to choose a dog we saw Lucy was playfully mauling her kennel mate. Because of her obvious playful nature we took her out to the evalution area to get to know her better. Eventually, she was chosen because of her sweet nature and soulful eyes.
Bio:
Once Lucy was brought home, we realized just how smart and willing to please she was. She was immediately enrolled in obedience class and quickly earned her CGC and became therapy dog certified. The last step was passing the Temperament Test with flying colors! Every month Lucy looks forward to visiting a local convalscent hospital in La Crescenta and is currently in training to compete in agility trials. Her next major goal will be learning how to weight pull.
