Hi everyone, I have been very busy with my mom with the Christmas holiday and all the visiting and merriment of the goings on those bring. I had so much fun over the holidays. I hope everyone in Dogster enjoyed their holidays as much as we did. BOL.
Momma told me I was a lucky dog because not all dogs are as lucky as I am to have a warm place to live, blankets and toys to cuddle up with for naps and gifts to open on Christmas morning. So I made certain to let Santa know that he should let the dogs that don't have what I have have something nice as well. Perhaps a blanket and a bite to eat from his turkey meal . I would gladly give from my table but, I had to stay home on the Christmas meal time alone myself. Because mom's family still leaves me out of their mealtimes. They just still don't get it. Mom says they are just too stubborn to understand the needs of some people and their dogs. Because they don't see her disability every day as they don't see her everyday so it is not something they can understand.
Some humans are more simple headed than us Dogs..BOL.
Mom and I set out cookies for Santa and I double checked in the morning and yup, he ate them! Mom took a picture of me while I was checking..
I don't know why but she just kept laughing and saying 'how cute'.
we went to Dad's folks house up in Barton,VT for a visit and had a 2nd holiday there. I liked that. But grandma W laughed at my pj's! That was ok, I laughed at her spotted socks. she looked like she wanted to be a cougar cat.. BOL. We had allot of fun. The New Year is here mom says, time for New Beginnings and happy times. Feels the same to me I don't understand the big fuss. All I know is we still have fluffy white snow out side to run and play in and get my paws all wet in. It is fun, but, it sure gets COLD after a little while. Booties are great for those moments. If you don't wear them yet, get your parents to look for some for you! They help keep your feet warm and dry, and your licker from getting sick if you walk over that salty stuff on the sidewalks .

Yeah that is what I barked! The White Stuff is here! I went out yesterday morning and it was raining. I could deal with that okay.Even though I do not much care for the rain. I was NOT going to let Mom put that dreaded Yellow rain jacket on me yesterday Again, No way! No How! I had ENOUGH of that thing over the rainy weekend at my Daddy's. So I just hugged the side of the house and did my outside ritual in the rain. I even got to chase that pain in the neck squirrel who continues to spread nuts all over my patio! He is a nuisance.
Later on in the afternoon my boy (my skin brother) came home from school (where he goes during the weekdays), and he told my mom he was going to swear at her! Well, that sure opened my eyes BIG! I was all Shocked Why I was thinking would he want to do that? But then he smiled at our Mom and just said 'It is Snowing outside!' and she said 'Stop swearing you naughty naughty boy! It is too early for that nasty word in this house!' and they both laughed. I was very confused until uh oh, sure enough my skin brother comes over to me and says 'Time for you to go outside in the SNOW!'
The next thing I knew, I was standing outside in the cold the wind blowing my ears around, surrounded by what was grass just that morning, now covered in a blanket of White stuff! I quickly jumped into the only green patch I could see left. But my skin brother laughed at me with this scary kind of laugh and says ' Oh no you don't, not in Mom's garden! Back in the Snow for you !' And he tosses me back onto the white stuff! My little feet were getting wet and cold, he didn't even put my booties on my lil' feet, Thank Dog, Mommy had already dressed me in my lovely sweater earlier or I surely would have been frozen! I knew I had to just do what he expected or I would surely not get back inside so I watered Mom's garden from outside of her little white fence hee hee BOL and he couldn't stop me from doing that ! skin boy 0 Bandit 1 !
He finally took me inside and Mom said 'ok good boy! time for a treat!' and I got some yummy beef stew. mmm mmm good.
Later on when It was time to take our small nightly walk Mom and I faced even more of the white stuff coming down, Mom said it is going to keep coming down now for a few days. She didn't look very happy about it when she said that. I guess if we go out dress up on scare night we will have my booties on. hmm I wonder what Mom is going to make me wear this year? She hasn't been trying on any silly costumes yet. Please not the pumpkin one again,, Daddy joked about making me be a bumble bee but I really do not like those. Mom joked about putting her devil horns on my head, she has black ones and purple ones of her own. She also has bunny ears, shh don't let anyone know I said that. If she even thinks of turning me into a bunny OMD! I will run so fast...
Well, everyone, Have a spooky Halloween. I'm already Spooked thinking of it.. BOL
Snow on pumpkins there should be a bark law against that!!

I had another fun weekend at my Daddy's in Vermont! Friday wasn't much of a special night. Mom and Dad went to their bowling night as usual. And mom came home very over tired, she told me she wished I had gone with her though, because she had one of her really bad spells towards the end of the night.. :( she had a seizure and she had to go through it all by herself because I wasn't there with her. rrruff! She told me she knew something was not right because her body was hurting all over and she just didn't feel ok so she sat down on the bench and the next thing she knew Daddy was waking her up telling her she had been through a long one for a little over 15 minutes.. grrr he should have brought her somewhere but he let her lay there that entire time... Sometimes my Daddy doesn't use what mom calls 'common since'. That was too long too long.. grr
On Saturday Mom and I spent some time in Daddy's backyard, because she needed allot of fresh air and the sun was out. It was nice to be outside and I kept chasing the apples as they fell from the tree. Daddy was using some loud tools in the house and I don't like those sounds they make so Mom said we could stand for some fresh air anyhow. She is so good to me. Later on after we all napped we got into the truck and went to my friend Sophie's house. To my surprise some of her cousins were there. Mom was a little nervous about letting me off the leash at first because they were some pretty big dogs! Merlin is a Newfoundland . He was the big male cousin. She said she was most nervous about how I was going to take to him. But I thought Merlin was really nice. He let me climb on him, tug at his ears and tease him by running underneath him and through his legs and all around him . We wrestled allot for hours. Mom said she would have loved to have video taped our play date but it would have not been able to be shown here because I got too rambunctious.. and started to be a little too naughty.. I didn't play much with my good pal Sophie and Mom says I might have made her sad by leaving her out on all the wrestling. But I will go back again to Sophie's home and play with her on another time. Sophie and I love to run around the kitchen in fast circles around the island chasing each other. Then we go out to the yard and we chase each other some more! She is a cairn terrier so she is more my own size.. She is allot of fun to chase too. Mom says when Sophie and I get together I am always a good boy so perhaps for the next play date she can video tape us playing. Sophie was the first dog I ever made friends with. She showed me how to kiss frogs. BOL
My weekend ended on a sort of sad note though, while mom and dad were sleeping Saturday night, one of my dew claws fell off and ouch! Does it still hurt allot. Mom is making me wear one of my winter booties on the paw so I won't keep licking and chewing at the paw because she said I was making it swell up and get all red and she thinks if I can't keep doing that perhaps it will heal faster. I don't much like looking like a rock punk start,, brother Troy keeps teasing me and saying I look like Michael Jackson! grrr I hope Mom is right and we can take this bootie off soon. It is just a bother! and it hurts a bit when I step down on it..
