Arrival Story:
I decided I wanted to get a dog,So I researched breeds until I knew which breed was the best suited for me and my family. Once I did that I went into a pet adoption website and searched. From the moment I read his profile and saw his first baby picture I fell in love with him.It took me a few weeks of preparation but soon he was flown to me from his Utah first home with the breeders parents. Once he came off of the plane he was shaking but soon after frolicking and in time he relaxed and became accustomed to his new family and home and loves us like we love him.

Bio:
Bandit has a bloodline of purebred Chinese Cresteds. He is known as a Powderpuff variety. These are born in the same litter as their hairless siblings and as history claims, it has been said the Powderpuff is born with so much hair/fur to keep the hairless siblings warm.

Bandit loves to jump high and play silly. He loves to give kisses and is very affectionate. He is my seizure alert companion dog because he loves me spends allot of time with me and observed my seizures, soon after began predicting when they were coming on within 30 min accuracy. He makes sure I am safe and comfortable during my seizures and stays with me.Sometimes he will bark to alert people if we are not alone.

Today is my Birthday! Wahoo! Mom says she thinks I am 7 now. But there has been many confusions about my age due to the paperwork from the start. I am still just as playful as I was when I was a puppy. As long as mom gives me those wonderful massages she does for me to not be so stiff. This winter has been very long, I had a couple of days where I became very lethargic and mom had to bring me to my Vet Er nearest to home. They gave me some pills that made the pain lessen and told me I had to have strict bed rest for 48hrs no jumping. That was easy for me as I didn't feel well. When it was over those 48hrs I was as good as new! Strange how it just came up on me and then after those 2 days in bed I was back to perfect. Mom said there were a few other dogs in our town that went through it as well.
All I can say is thank goodness for the Vet's help and for mom taking such good care of me. She even slept downstairs on the sofa next to my bed for those days so I would not be lonely. We get along great. I love my mommy and she loves me. I hope everyone has had a great winter and is feeling well.
Mom says, there are times she wonders how she got so lucky to find me. I lick her face allot and say Same here! :)
I wish all dogs could find a great furever home like I did.
Well, it is time for me to get another beef stick from mom, she is trying to spoil me more today since it is my birthday! But I wonder, is that possible?? BOL

Wow It is 2010 A whole new Year which even sounds strange when it rolls off my people friends tongues when they say it! Barking Out Loud .
It has been a very long Winter, and the Cold was not very good for my mom. She spent allot of it really sick. :( So she and I didn't get to spend allot of time going places this Winter. I didn't mind all that much, I got to cuddle up with her in her big bed, stay warm inside and she still dressed me warm whenever I needed to go out side for my potty time. Of course, I would take advantage of my time outside and roll around and make doggy angels in the snow and run and jump ''like a deer or bunny '', my mom said. Which always makes her laugh.
Last-night, Papa gave me my 'Spring Haircut', or as mom called it my 'Easter Haircut' so I don't have to look so messy anymore. I am such a rebel about getting my hair brushed that my mom says I get too many tangles in my undercoat . We have all the right stuff, but I fight and I walk away so papa and mom have decided to keep my hair trimmed shorter in the warmer months ( I actually am much happier with it like this).
With my hair trimmed short I have this neat looking birthmark that shows up brilliantly on my back more than when my hair is long. (it is how my hair grows, naturally, the white hair pattern in contrast to the gray) It forms what my human parents call a question mark.
Well, that's about all of my news for updates folks, mom says now that it is Spring she and I will hopefully be able to post more often as she will probably be feeling better. Her doctor has started her on a new med and we are hoping it will help. Papa and her were whispering about good news, me making more new friends soon, and they were giggling allot ... ??? I don't quite understand yet,, but when they smile I smile....... I mean what's a dog to do right??
Catch ya dog pals laterz...

Hoping every Dog pal and human pal had nice holidays

Hi everyone, I have been very busy with my mom with the Christmas holiday and all the visiting and merriment of the goings on those bring. I had so much fun over the holidays. I hope everyone in Dogster enjoyed their holidays as much as we did. BOL.
Momma told me I was a lucky dog because not all dogs are as lucky as I am to have a warm place to live, blankets and toys to cuddle up with for naps and gifts to open on Christmas morning. So I made certain to let Santa know that he should let the dogs that don't have what I have have something nice as well. Perhaps a blanket and a bite to eat from his turkey meal . I would gladly give from my table but, I had to stay home on the Christmas meal time alone myself. Because mom's family still leaves me out of their mealtimes. They just still don't get it. Mom says they are just too stubborn to understand the needs of some people and their dogs. Because they don't see her disability every day as they don't see her everyday so it is not something they can understand.
Some humans are more simple headed than us Dogs..BOL.
Mom and I set out cookies for Santa and I double checked in the morning and yup, he ate them! Mom took a picture of me while I was checking..
I don't know why but she just kept laughing and saying 'how cute'.
we went to Dad's folks house up in Barton,VT for a visit and had a 2nd holiday there. I liked that. But grandma W laughed at my pj's! That was ok, I laughed at her spotted socks. she looked like she wanted to be a cougar cat.. BOL. We had allot of fun. The New Year is here mom says, time for New Beginnings and happy times. Feels the same to me I don't understand the big fuss. All I know is we still have fluffy white snow out side to run and play in and get my paws all wet in. It is fun, but, it sure gets COLD after a little while. Booties are great for those moments. If you don't wear them yet, get your parents to look for some for you! They help keep your feet warm and dry, and your licker from getting sick if you walk over that salty stuff on the sidewalks .
