Hiking and running through the woods, Chewing on bones & hooves, chasing other doggies

When another dog has a toy and she wants it, or another dog tries to take her toys/bones from her

Favorite Toy:
She isn't really into toys (weird for an ACD, I know!!) but she LOVES to chew on bones! She enjoys tugging and shredding stuffed toys.

Favorite Food:
Everything, except a couple vegies. Loves raw steak with garlic.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere. She loves to be out and play on off-leash hikes mostly, but walks are nice too.

Best Tricks:
Agility, but also: Sit, Down, Spin, Reverse, Paw, and Other Paw.

Arrival Story:
I saw Vista (formerly Coco) on the ACDRA rescue website, and also on Petfinder. I had been contacting several rescue groups about different cattle dogs (as far away as Tennessee and Michigan) but no luck. The 15 hour one way trip would have been difficult, and not to mention; no dog seemed to fit for us. We found Vista and thought it was worth a try to contact the people since she was only 2 hours away. We found out her story as well: A guy bought her for his girlfriend at 8 weeks old, they broke up, and no one wanted her. The man worked 10 hour days and she was going insane. So he did the right thing and went to find her a new home. So in the midst of a torential down pour, on September 27th, 2008 we drove to go meet Vista - if it went well, the plan was we were to take her home. So all went as planned; the dogs got along and away we went.

Vista is a great dog. She does well off leash, and listens pretty well. She is a fiesty little girl, and is very tough! For 35lbs, she's quite the whirl wind. We attend agility classes and are going to start competing soon. Vista doesn't know much about toys but does like to tug, and loves to chew on bones and hooves. She lets us do anything to her, and she loves to have any human pay attention to her.. she loves nothing more than snuggles and belly rubs!
