Arrival Story:
We needed a friend for Mollie to play with and keep her company when we're gone. We were going to the county fair in Spencer, IA and saw a man selling puppies. Chopper was in a kennel with some Springer Spaniel pups. He was 8 months old at the time and he stuck out like a sore thumb. What really caught my eye was that he was missing one ear and part of the other. The guy said I could go meet him in the kennel and he jumped on me and I called him by name and he just loved it. They said he was the "deal of the day" for $50 so we took him home right then. Needless to say we never did go to the fair that day.

Bio:
Chopper had noticeably developed bone cancer in his left rear leg in November of 2009. By January 2010 it was so bad that we had to put him down. We miss you, buddy!!!
