Border Collies have the dubious distinction of being the world's smartest dogs, and Tink is certainly no exception. While she may not be an expert in Calculus, Tink is as bright as they get. She also has a very strong work drive, typical of this breed. This is a girl who thrives on challenge each day, and will need a permanent home where she can have a job to do. Tink's foster mom is a dog trainer and is heavily involved in agility competition. She says Tink would be an ideal candidate for canine sports. With Tink's beauty, brains, grace and unwavering desire to please, you have a winning combination. Tink was born on 6/28/07. She is in excellent health: spayed, vaccinated, wormed, heartworm-negative, and is on monthly heartworm preventative and flea/tick control. Tink will also be micro-chipped prior to adoption. Our $175 adoption fee helps offset the cost of Tink's veterinary and foster care. While Tink is very friendly and social, she is also a herding breed dog with a strong drive, so she would do best in a home without young children. We are looking for a dog-savvy adopter who has experience with Border Collies and who can provide Tink with the daily challenge she longs for. Tink will be a happy camper if she can become mentally and physically tired every day.
