The life of Sammy the Hobbit Pug

I must be lazy

Wow, it's been over a year since I've put an entry in this diary. Where have I been? Let's see...laying around the house, playing with my toys, sleeping...hmmm I guess I am kinda busy.

Well lately as you can see, life is a little more mellow for me. Mommy takes me out on walks every other morning or so...Daddy comes home earlier to let me out but I don't really go to the dog park that often anymore. I miss my friends. I can't wait til Pug Sunday is here again!

It's been really hot these days...I actually do prefer staying indoors. But once in a while, I'd just like to hang out with my old buddies. I wish my parents would understand. Oh well. At least they hardly take me to that awful place now.

What have Mommy and Daddy done to me?

It's been a while now since I've had anything really exciting happen...Mommy and Daddy take me to the dog park often and it's great, but wait til you hear what happened starting last week!

About a week ago, Mommy took me on a short car ride early in the morning...it was raining and Mommy never takes me on a car ride so early...so I was scared and whimpered! I don't want to go to that evil place again where they poked me! But guess what! That's actually where she took me!

At first I was excited to see other people and dogs, I didn't realize that the people there were taking me away from Mommy. I didn't even see her leave! Once I realized she was gone, I was so scared! The people left me in a crate for so long...I didn't know what to do.

Next thing I know, I wake up feeling really dizzy. This lady picked me up and gave me back to Mommy...when did she come back? All I wanted to do was sleep. Mommy took me home and I felt better after a couple of hours of rest. Then I noticed when I looked down...a part of me was missing! And whatever they did to me and attached to me was so uncomfortable...I had to lick it to feel better. Mommy kept yelling at me 'NO!' but I can't help it. It's so uncomfortable!

Next day, I thought Mommy was being nice again when she took me to the pet store. I jumped up at everyone so that I can greet them and she kept telling me to 'Get Off'. I just want to say hi! We didn't stay long. When we got home, she put this big ugly collar on my neck. I really hated it...I didn't even want to move with it on. Mommy laughed at me too with it on...what torture!

But of course, they kept it on me for a whole week...I had to manage with it. I couldn't lick the area anymore but I really wanted to. I bumped into everything and it was hard to eat and play with my toys.

Then it finally came off just a couple days ago! Mommy came home one day, took it off, and we went to the dog park! I was so excited to see my friends again! Can you see the things I put up with! No more! I now make my opinion known and bark louder than ever!

Weird feelings I've been having

Mommy and Daddy have been trying to take me to the dog park everyday, but I wish I could spend more time there. I have a couple of girlfriends there, but Lizzie is my favorite. I've been getting urges to jump on her and I get very happy when I do that. Gracie is nice too, but she's pretty rough with me, and she's a bigger pug then me too.

Just this past weekend, I felt like I should pee with one leg up and I should do them in short little pees. My favorite spot is the tree in the middle of the park. It's my tree! My friend Einstein likes to pee at the park too. Does he think he owns the park? I try to cover his pees up with mine. I'm still getting the hang of the leg lifting. After a couple of times, I get tired of losing my balance and do it my old fashion way.

So is this strange? My Mommy and Daddy think that I'm still a baby. They can't understand me...so when they tell me to do stuff now, sometimes I just want to ignore them. I can take care of myself, thank you very much!
