My dog's life

Happy New Year!

Boy 'o boy! Momma and Dadda sure keep me busy - I've had no time to visit my dogster pals and type up some new info! But I finally pushed Momma out of the way and the keyboard is mine!
Momma and Dadda keep me sooo active - every day I walk and/or play, and every weekend I get to ride in the car somewhere for a long walk! Momma spoiled me last month - when she was on vacation she always made time to take me in the car for a long walk, not just on the weekend days! We travelled some to VT, and I got to play outside in the snow there too! I love the snow (until my paws get cold - I hate wearing the booties!) For Thanksgiving I got turkey yucks (I don't know why humans call them yucks... they are delicious) and for Christmas I got both ham and turkey! Momma made me a new toy box - she worked lots of nights w/those stinky colored bottles (she called them paints) - but it was worth it cause my new toy box is bigger and better! Santa Paws didn't have to take any of my old toys to leave me new ones! I got lots of good stuff for Christmas - new stuffies and lots of homemade treats (Momma makes them - they are delicious!), and I got lots of rawhides from everyone! Momma tells me new stuffies are 'inside toys' - we'll see about that after the snow is gone! I even got a new bed this year for Christmas - it's HUGE! And it's green - my favorite color!

The Adventures of Max!

Hi everyone!
Well, summer is here and Momma & Dadda have been keeping me busy. We travelled to where I used to live (VT) a couple of weekends to visit Memere & Pepere. Momma said she had to be careful or Pepere would steal me! He loves me very much... We slept in that portable house thing - a tent? - and I got to snuggle in the sleeping bags. We walked on the bike path and went to someplace called 'the homestead' - I remember it, Momma takes me there alot when we visit. I like to get in the river and chase the frogs! This time, Momma and my Auntie from FL who was visiting took me to a new place. Auntie took some pictures, Momma posted some. I had to stay on the leash cause it was supposed to be 'no dogs allowed' but no one complained and I did get to swim alot - Momma and Auntie came in with me, I couldn't believe it! I was sooooo tired after that weekend that I slept almost the whole way home here to NY (5 hrs!). Momma put another picture up - it is one of me and my Dadda - Momma says it's her new favorite. I'm so happy - just look at my smile...
Momma & Dadda are talkin' bout something called a vacation. I like my babysitter lots, but this time they say I can go - 'pets welcome' it says on the website. I like going on our adventures.... yawn...I just get sooo tired... Hmmm...nap time I think.

I Graduated!

Wow! I never thought 'bedience class would be sooo busy! It seemed like I had homework all the time! But, Momma & Dadda said I am now a High School Graduate, and they are very proud of me! Course, we still do our 'homework' which I don't really like - but I still get lots of treats, so I guess it balances out.
Momma & Dadda have been taking me on long walks both days on the weekends (those days when they are both home together). During the week I am one tired guy! I still get my walks in the mornings, and we do something every night - play, walk, or even go to the store where I'm allowed in (Petco). I've even been lucky enough to see some deer lately, but I am really wishing Santy Paws had brought Momma those detachable arms for Christmas! I really want to run with them, but all I get to do is stare and bark. I guess Momma is nice and doesn't pull me away ... but I am soooo excited when I see them, they run really fast, but I want to try to keep up!
Oh boy - I'm getting myself all excited! I better relax - and maybe go hold down the couch... Talk to you all later!
