A Day in the life of me...

Dixie has Passed

Just shy of 14 years old, Dixie has moved on to her final resting place. She was a wonderful pet, dear friend, faithful protector and all around the most amazing animal. It was a difficult decision, the hardest of my life, but it was in her best interest. She is no longer suffering and has a special place of honor for her final resting place under the shade of two oak trees. Dixie will be forever missed, never replaced and always loved.

Sick

Well, for the first time ever, I was sick, and man do I mean sick! Momma and Dad were really worried. Dad took me to the vet since Momma was stuck at work. They checked me out, ran tests, and gave me an annual check-up since it had been awhile since my last one. They gave Dad some pills for me to take, which I don't like, some Pedicare for dogs and some special (expensive) food for while I recover. Good news is, all the tests came back good, so I probably just had a nasty virus. I'm usually good about eating anything Momma tells me to, but I really didn't like these pills and after a few, I tried to refuse to eat it. After a few minutes, Momma showed me the alternative method of 'helping' me take the pill, and ever since then I've been a Really good girl about taking the pills right away. Thankfully, everything turned out ok in the end.

update

well, here's my update too. let's see, I'll finally play with Tazer, though he can be really obnoxious at times. He loves to chew on my tail, which I ignore, unless he bites too hard. I always wants whatever toy I have, so we end up playing tug-o-war a lot since I longer just let him have whatever he wants. He even wants my chewies, even though momma gives us each one at the same time. I tell you, little brothers, ugh. I don't know how Megan puts up with it!
