Arrival Story:
I was walking near the supermarket of my neightbourhood when I saw a lady; she was friendly and talked to me. The lady picked up her cell phone and made a phone call to another lady, talked for a while, hung up, and with a smile picked me up in her arms. We walked for a while, and then, to my surprise, I was allowed to a house. A lady was waiting for us there, she smiled at me and told me I was welcomed to my new home. More humans came to see me, all were friendly, then I was introduced to some dogs. The first one was a GSD called Brandy, very kind doggie; then it was the turn of Gaia and Sissi, and then a polar bear arrived to say hello. His name was Toby, and I was so scared that I snapped at him. The bear looked very surprised and tried to play with me, showing there was nothing to fear about. We became friends, he's very kind as the other dogs are. Humans were talking about another human they called "dad" (what is a dad? I was wondering) and his reaction about my presence in the house. Oh, didn't I tell you? I was pregnant! I had a big big belly!!! The lady is now my mom decided to hide me from the "dad", everybody agreed, so I was sent to the kitchen (the best part of a house for a dog), where the "dad" never goes. But I was so curious about that "dad", so after two days I managed to get to the garage while he was parking his car. The "dad" looked at me, tried to look serious, so I approached him with my wagging tail. It worked! He said I was too nice and friendly and touched my head. Since then I was allowed to the rest of the house, and dad gave me a new nick: "sandia con patas" (watermelon with paws). Oh yes, my belly was really big, with all those puppies trying to play soccer there. My new humans took me to the "vets" (dogs, vets smell terribly!), they said I was ok. And two days ago, on September the 23th 2008, I gave birth to 7 little puppies...under the bed of the human puppy that lives in the house! For some reason I don't understand me and the puppies were reallocated to the special delivery room my humans have at home, so here I am now, happy with my puppies, my humans and my canine brothers and sisters, so right now mom has...18 dogs at home!
