Arrival Story:
Clyde was found at an open-air Animal Control in north FL at about 3 months old with his sister Bonnie & their little friend Meeko. His happy fuzzy face was irresistable--how could this sweet puppy be in a kill shelter? It was below 30 degrees at night & all they had to sleep on was a plastic half barrel (there were too many to fit in it) & a bare light bulb hung low for heat. They were wet & dirty from the workers hosing off the concrete. They smelled terrible & huddled together. It was heartbreaking to see puppies treated so harshly--I don't blame the AC people, I blame the irresponsible , heartless people who couldn't bother to spay & neuter their dogs & then dump the puppies like garbage. If I had one wish it would be that people would be responsible & kill shelters unneccessary.
Bio:
Clyde is a bird dog & even at the beach all he does is watch the birds.
He also takes great pains to make his bed & loves his blankets:) He is sweet & cuddly & sighs & groans a lot:) He also loves to ride in the car & go for walks. He loves hugs & kisses. Clyde is 80 lbs & reminds me of Ferdinand the Bull since he's often just sitting outside sniffing the breeze.

My mom wants all the good dog lovers who don't yet realize that healthy, beautiful puppies like me, Bonnie, Meeko, Layla, Punky & the rest are being destroyed by the thousands and only they can change this by spaying & neutering & choosing adoption over buying from backyard breeders & pet stores. Kill shelters are a great place to find wonderful dogs & puppies--the day we were adopted my mom cried for all those she left behind. All those sweet faces & hopeful eyes.
Please don't support puppy mills & backyard breeders --consider saving a life. You are their only hope.

Mom says my happy face on Petfinder (I was listed as a rottie mix!) at a kill shelter saved my sister & my friend Meeko--that makes me a hero, right?
I love birds--I dunno why, I just do--I bark at owls & buzzards in the trees.
I love to snuggle & sleep with my humans in their beds.
I love warm blankets fresh from the dryer & I like my bed just right.
My most favorite thing to do is walk with mom--I'm learning to heel off lead.
I love to go swimming at the beach.
If mom tells me to do something I don't want to do, I grumble.
