Arrival Story:
My moms rat terrier died, so I looked in the paper for a free-to-good-home dog. Snoopy was in the paper as a black and white sheltie. I drug my mom to see him 2 towns away. I noticed right off his owners had no idea what they were talking about. They said he was mean and he would bite any kid, and he would attack without warning. I saw nothing but a sweet little dog, which lived with mean humans. He was so afraid of his owners he wouldnt come near them and was happy to leave. Once he got home, he was very happy and checked out everything. He hung with my mom, but he slept on my bed. In as little as a week Snoopy attached to me, he was my shadow. He couldnt care less about any other human; he only had eyes for me. It was a friendship made to last.

As time went on the singes of Snoopys abuse became clear. However, Snoopy had a hidden skill, he knew when my sugar was too low, when my breathing was off, and before I had seizures. Snoopy knew more about me then I knew. He was amazing! Snoopy was extremely smart and loving. He had a very different personality; he had moods, and was so human like it was creepy at times. He was the perfect lap-dog, but could be bouncing off the walls. After we worked on the bad habits and abuse issues, Snoopy went to school. After a year Snoopy became a service dog. He loved it! He was so happy he could be with me 24/7, and he loved his job so much he kept working even after he got sick. His tail never stopped wagging, and he was always smiling.

Forums Motto:
It's ALL mine!

Snoopy was so funny, he would gather all his toys and things he wanted to be his toys and he hide them under his bed and lay on them. Then he would growl and act “big and bad” but if you went for his toys he would cover them with his paws or grab it and run. If I was faster them him and got a toy from under his bed, he would jump around dying for me to toss it for him.

My old friend- Tim McGraw

My old friend, I recall
The times we had are hanging on my wall
I wouldn't trade them for gold
Cause they laught and they cry me and
somehow sanctify me
And they're woven in the stories I have told
And tell again

My old friend I apologize
For the years that have passed since the
last time you and I
Dusted off those memories
But the runnin' and the races and the
people and the places
there was always somewhere else i had to be
And time gets thin my old friend

Don't know why, don't know why
Don't know why, don't know why

My old friend this song's for you
Cause a few simple verses was the least that I could do
To tell the world that you were here
'Cause the love and the laughter will live on long after
All of the sadness and the tears
We'll meet again my old friend

Goodbye, Goodbye
Goodbye, Goodbye
My old friend

Snoopy is missed everyday

Snoopy was my best friend and sometimes it hurts to love another dog. I know Snoopy would not be happy about this. I know that letting go of Snoopy is really what is hard for me. However, when I look in to the eyes of dogs’ I can’t help to miss Snoopy, and his ways. He bonded so strongly with me and only me. I know there will never be another Snoopy; he lives on forever in a part of my heart. Sometimes I dream of me and Snoopy playing keep-away and when I wake up the pain comes rushing back. I pour my heart out to Barklay and Athena, but it’s no the same. I know the pain won’t kill me, but some days I feel like I have cried myself out of tears. I only hope Snoopy is in haven and knows I loved him and always will. He means so much to me I had his face tattooed on me so I can have him with me forever. I know he understood me more then any human could. Snoopy was much more then a dog, he was a best friend

Dogs and Horses?

Snoopy came from a stuck-up family, with no contact with livestock. I thought it would be fun for him to meet my horse; they hit it off right away. Snoopy was afraid at first but soon he took to her like they were long lost best friends. It was so funny to see him give her a kiss; she would snort and shake her head. I started out on a trail ride and he followed like he was an old pro. After an hr he started barking at my horse. I got off and he stopped and ran around me and my horse. I thought “Ok, well hes not trusty.” I got back on Vanessa and started to ride. Snoopy started barking again. I got off and offered him water again he ran around Vanessa. I got on and yup… he started barking at me. I stopped and looked down at him, and said, “Snoopy what is wrong you have been enjoying yourself, why are you barking?” He put his paws up on Vanessa’s leg and wined at me. I pated my leg and said, “come-on” he got so excited he was jumping on his hind legs. I finely got him up in the saddle, and he was so happy he wouldn’t stop licking me. I couldn’t believe it he wanted to ride. After that he would do the same thing whenever he got tired and I would let him ride in the saddle with me.
