Ok, now I have already told you how much I hate baths right? Well, surprisingly I have found a new love for lakes and boats. Some of my new hobbies include jumping on the rocks by the lake, drinking from the end of the dock, and going for boat rides. Mom was sure I would hate riding in the boat and being anywhere near water, but boy was she wrong! I love it!! Even after I have accidently jumped into the water a couple of times. The first time dad was out swimming and I didn't really understand that I can't walk on top of the water, so I jumped right off the end of the dock. Mom rescued me though and I got her pants and shoes all wet. The second time, I don't know what I was doing and neither does mom and dad. We were just cruising around in the boat after doing some fishing and I decided to jump out of the boat. I found out again that you can't stand on the water. This time dad rescued me and I got him all wet. They tell me that I am going to have to wear a floatation vest now because I don't swim very well but can't seem to stay out of the water. But I still hate baths!

I hate baths!!

GRRRRRRR! Mom gave me an icky icky bath yesterday. I hate standing in that shower and having that stinky soap rubbed all over me. It smells like flowers and other nasty things. And then my hair is so thick, I thought that I would never get dry. And to make it worse, mom grabbed the camera and took pictures of me when I was wet. I let her know I was angry by chomping on my cow, but she just thought it was cute and put a picture of me on my page. Moms can be so mean sometimes. At least dad made up for it later by taking me on a car ride. But, I couldn't stick my head out the window because it was cold and rainy. I did bark at a big Great Dane though, that was fun. I like to bark at other dogs when I am in the car. Mom doesn't like it so much because I have a big voice, but dad thinks it is really funny. I just hope I don't have to get a bath again any time soon!

Here to stay

Mom told me yesterday that she got her residence permit approved, so now we can stay with daddy in Finland. I am so happy, I think my tail might fly off. This means I can keep taking trips to the lake with them on the weekends and chase my new cousins around. Maybe this summer I will get my first swimming lesson. But, the ice still has to melt before that can happen. I have also learned a new trick recently. I know how to lay down when I am told! The human language is mostly clicks and whistles to me, but at least that is one more thing that I can understand. And who says an old dog can't learn new tricks!?! I showed them!
